5 x Bowers & Wilkins (B&W) VM1 Surround Sound Speakers & Tall Stands - Norwich
This is a very reluctant sale of my beloved B&W VM-1 Surround sound speakers(5 of) with 4 B&W Stands made for the VM-1 The speakers are all in a very good. Used condition and in perfect working order with just a few light marks from use and general wear. The stands have a few marks and paint flecks(easily removed) to the bases but still very presentable. See the attached pictures. They are the actual speakers and stands and will show the condition well. Only selling as Ive moved to a Acoustic Energy set up which I bougth off a friend and. Truth be told, isn't as good but does, more importantly, get the girlfriends approval for its looks! These speakers give out a fantastic sound and a surprising amount of Bass(I never had the need for a subwoofer and has the Bass on my Amplifier on-4) with superb Mids and treble(as you would expect ... morefrom B&W) They are rated at 100W RMS and are 8 Ohm The 4 stands held the front 2 and the rear 2 speakers and the centre speakers(the B&W tag revolves so its the correct way up for the centre speakers) stood on its rubber side on the shelf under my TV and was perfect! Only thing I should mention is that one of the brackets that attaches to the stands and holds the speaker got lost so I got another made up by a carpenter friend of mine(can be seen in the pics) Its been like this for ever now and hold the speaker just fine and once the speaker is in place cannot be seen(guess it could be painted grey if desired but as it cant be seen it never bothered me) The actual speakers were very expensive when new and I know the tall stands were £200 a pair! The speaker stands are very rare(probably due to the new price when new) and hardly ever come up for sale The speakers are available on Ebay for about £80- £90 each and there is a set of 5 on there for £395. This is where I got my prices from- Ive put £400 which I think. Baring in mind its for 5 speakers and the 4 stands, is a good price but have put the best offer option on there so please feel free

One is 15 1/2' tall at the back, the area the shoes sit on is 9" by 6 1/4" has a raised piece at the top back to hold the shoe on by the heels, it has a few of tiny, light rust spots on the top right edge& some bubbly surface rust spots at the lower right corner area where the shoes go, but easily sanded& repainted, they need a new coat of paint anyway. The second one is 10 1/2" at the top back, is not angled as much as the other one, has a few very small& light surface rust spots, very minor.
