You are bidding on a Thonet-style rocking chair with cane seat and back. In perfect condition. I say Thonet-style because the original chair of this design was only made in Austrian. Thonets were considered one of the first companies to mass produce chairs for public use. These"bentwood" chairs were quite the rage in the very late 1800s and continue to be made well into the 20th century even into the early 1960's. The productions of these"originals" have been made since the late 1800's. You can even buy a new one today online for around $150, but I am sure it is Made in China and not the quality of craftsmenship that the repros were from even 40 years ago. This one has had only one owner. Was in their loft library and got very little use. Like new condition. Measurements are 33" wide, 44' high and 27" ... moreacross. At some point in it's life someone cut about 4 inches off of it's legs, so the front legs have been made new tpo the right lenght and the rear legs have been spliced restoring them to the correct length. Oak hall tree with bench seat
This beautiful antique oak hall tree is in great condition. It's been well take care of-polished weekly and dusted with a plain cloth to keep the original color intact. There are no flaws or chips out of the wood but the mirror is aged. The hinges and coat hooks are originals also. This auction is for a adorable mid century cream color Cosco child's booster seat. It's about 13 3/4" wide x about 12" to the top of the back of the chair. The chair is adjustable( just remove the chrome frame to a different slot) No cracks. A few light scratches and some discoloration on the seat area. Overall it's a great vintage seat/ chair.
