Selle Italia SLR saddle seat / titanium rails / Extra Light Weight - Naked!
This saddle started out as a regular Selle Italia SLR- approximately 135 g. I ended up with a small rip the cover and after trying electrical tape to fix it I decided to remove the cover all together and go naked! I don't know the final weight on it but it feels LIGHT! I didn't use it much after the cover was removed and had planned to some day mount it up for some hill climbs but simply never got round to it. I hate to say it but I don't except returns and feel that the photos represent the condition of this very well. If you bid on it you should feel comfortable with what it is.

But works just the way she is supposed to work. The seat is obviously not correct(it's a vintage Schwinn seat) but everything else looks correct. A lot of the surface rust will come out with some elbow grease, I cleaned the rear fender and it started looking really nice! 2011 Titus X Lightrail Seat Stay for 26" frames - Titus Racer X - FTM
Long story short. This is a carbon LightRail seat stay that my 2011 Titus X alloy came with from the factory. After a short time I noticed small hairline cracks near the aluminum dropout to carbon bond line. I called Titus and they said to send it back for inspection. Not wanting to be without my bike I ordered a backup from them for $225. Turns out that the small hairline cracks are normal. The clear coat paint cracks at the bond line from flex between the aluminum and carbon and is not structural. Only cosmetic. They all do it, even my current stay. Wish they could have told me that over the phone before I bought another stay. So if your looking for this part, save $100 plus shipping and buy this one. It has about 250 easy miles of xc use and near new, the only blemishes are some chain slap marks on the underside. all original dan gurney troxel seat. only has some minor scuffs on it. i feel that these could polished out 100% with some polish and elbow grease. still has the original stickers on the bottom side from the factory. i have only saw a few of these online. i believe this one to be the nicest seat i have seen. the post i am not 100% sure is original. But it is of the era. it has a min. height mark on it with a small triangle to show the min mark. i tried to capture this in one of the pics. it has a little corrosion on it, but not much and it is very light corrosion. all of the original mounting harware is there and in excellent condition as well. will be packaged well, shipped with a tracking number and insured for sold amount.

Antique Sager Flexible Leather Bicycle Seat Saddle Circa 1899
This is an antique bike saddle called a Sager Flexible.It is marked with a patent date of 1899.It is intended for use with an"L" shaped seat post of about 1/2" in diameter.The leather does not have tears or holes and the stiching is still good though not perfect and the leather is still soft and pliable.The padding inside the seat also remains soft and pliable.It measures about 8" by 8"It has a nice patina or the leather is good enough to be redyed if a newer look is desired.I imagine this to be a very rare item to have survived for this long.The cord ties visible at the front bottom appear to be part of the original construction and not a repair.Made in the USA by the Sager Saddle Co. in Rochester N.Y.A photo copy of an original magazine ad is included in the auction.Buyer pays $8.50 postage within the lower 48 states.Payment ... moredue within three days.Thanks for looking.

Early Leather Triple Spring Bicycle Seat; As Found Antique Bike, Motobike Seat
Up for bids we offer this antique bicycle or motobike seat in original. Undisturbed condition. Found in a barn where it had been forgotten for decades, it shows lots of age but is intact is in good condition. The leather has some shallow cracks but no rips or holes and it's still hard, tight and can support weight. The seat has three, tight, metal springs, the back two are braided while the front isn't. There doesn't appear to be any visible markings as to who the manufacturer was. It measures about 9 inches wide and 7 1/2 inches wide. There's some rust on the frame that's not structurally significant. Overall though, this early seat is in good shape and would be a great addition to a project bike of the same vintage.
