There may some minor scratches or other fluctuation in color do to age but I see nothing of significance. I'm uncertain about the type of wood but it is an exotic Asian hardwood. This auction is for a very old candle/plant stand. It is from the 1800's. It has been in my family for many generations. I am not sure if it is walnut or mahogany. I was told it was walnut but just not sure how to tell. The photos show the condition of the stand. You can see on the top and the bottom of the top piece. It does come off and you can glue it permantly if you like. When I ship it I will wrap the round piece off of the stand and that will protect it better. I just left it as is. The top piece has some seperation in the wood and you can see on the bottom where it has been held together with old clips. It has a little area where the wood is chipped on the bottom rim. Antique Wood Carved Column table/stand plant Shabby , Architectural salvage
Hi for sale I have a rare Antique solid wood carved Column. I believe the wood is either oak or mahogany. It is painted white and has a chippy patina. This piece could be used as an accent piece. Table, or plant stand. Only a few others online for sale. This piece measures: 49 1/8" tall x top diameter: 11 1/4" x bottom diameter: 11 1/8" square. The piece was handmade. This column is heavy and large. I put it on the bathroom scale and it had a weight of around 50 to 60 pounds. The column has a knotch at one of the top middle sections( see photo# 6) I believe this was put there so it would fit at a staircase. The wood has some slight cracks and as stated the paint is shabby and chippy. This item is smoke and odor free. Please e-mail me with any questions. Antique Louis XV Style Cellaret or Plant Stand c.1800's Grey Hounds Inlay
Stunning antique free-standing cellaret or possible fern stand. Oval storage space and stretcher are elaborately decorated with wood(Mahogany? inlay. Delicate. Black serpentine legs are accented with brass decorations including four elegant dog heads that look like grey hounds. An intricate pierced brass gallery surrounds the lid and the metal lined cooler area. This piece would still be usable for its original purpose or as a wonderfully decorative side or end table. Here for your consideration is an antique ARTS CRAFTS MISSION OAK plant stand. This measures 17 1/4" tall and is 12" square at the top. The legs are tapered and splay out making the base 10 1/2" square. This is constructed of solid oak and features cut-out sides and a scalloped top. There is a slight split to the top that was repaired and really only noticeable from underneath. The piece is otherwise in good sturdy condition with all other wear reflective of age and use. Antique Victorian Bamboo Plant/Stand/Table with Signed Veneer
Please note. This listing is for two separate items: a bamboo/oak table and a signed printed veneer work of art. I have listed them together because the veneer could be used to resurface the table top. Here’s an outstanding Victorian burnt bamboo table or plant stand. It is being sold with a beautiful painted wood veneer that could be used to resurface the top of the table. It is not attached to the table and could be framed to use as a separate piece. I was going to cut the veneer and glue it to the tabletop but I ran out of time. The table is in great condition except for the circular burn mark on the top(see photos) All the bamboo has the great variegated pattern and the patina that can only be acquired over many years. It’s not in mint condition. But you wouldn’t expect it to be since it is probably from the Victorian period. The table ... moretop(looks like oak) is a bit uneven where two pieces of wood join. I use it just as it is with a small tablecloth to hide the burn mark. I think the veneer would look great as the tabletop, though. It would fit well except that it might lose the tops of the iris leaves. The painted veneer is actually signed by Lindley Briggs and is a limited print 154/370, dated 1984. The measurements are approximately: 28 1/2” high. The table top is 18" x 18" and the bottom sh elf is 14” x 14" This is a great looking classic piece and would be even more unique with the veneer attached to the top. Up for your consideration is a fine walnut plant pedestal/stand that probably dates from the late 1800's. I believe the unique size makes this item practical and functional for many uses and areas. It is in very good original found condition. There appears to be no damage or missing parts( one of the slats on the bottom may have been replaced-hard to tell- See picture five(5) It does show wear(mostly on top) which is consistent and appropiate for the age and use. I am pleased to offer this great. Vintage, wrought iron plant stand. It has a deco feel to it, but I don't know exactly when it was made. It's definitely old, though! This cool stand measures 40" tall, 15" wide, and the inside diameter of the two pot holders is 4" Its golden color appears to have been painted over white and some of the paint has chipped off. It could certainly be repainted any color, however, if golden"shabby chic" isn't your style. It's in good sturdy condition with no breaks nor missing parts. Up for auction this week we have a beautiful early Mahogany Basin Stand circa 1890. This piece has great form and a very nice aged mellow patina. There is one old repair on one of the legs but it is tight and solid and does not effect the way it stands. There are the usual distress marks that come with a piece this age. But overall it is in excellent condition and a real beauty. I'm not really sure about the age of this piece. It very well may be anywhere from the mid 1800's to around the turn of the century. This is a beautiful and one of a kind piece! We are pleased to offer this gorgeous plant stand. Pedestal or table base. This is a hand thrown, painted and glazed terra cotta piece of art. The pedestal is tall and measures 35" It features a round top and base, both of which measure 12" in diameter. The center column is fashioned in a gorgeous, exaggerated French barley twist. The patterning is very dramatic and very thick with an elegant and dimensional effect. The entire piece is white with some antiqueing glaze in the crevices. This would make a lovely accent or raised dining table base. It has a wonderful sheen and is not a flat glaze finish. The piece is hand signed"Mexico" on the base. This is a stunning pedestal.
