Large Oak Bench ~ 8 Feet ~ from Town Hall In Bristol, England
This is another interesting piece I haven't been able to get around to customizing and so am offering at a low auction start price. I was told this oak bench came from a town hall in Bristol.it is 95" long and has a relatively slim& short profile(21" deep x 38.5" high) This is totally useable as seating but also has lots of possibilities as"filler" for those challenging narrow decorating spaces- such as a hall or entryway. We had it piled with books under a window in a pass-through room. Really nice grain on the legs. Upholstery has a tear. Stain, etc and some of the nailhead trim is missing; however it is comfortable and a relatively easy re-upholstery project. Some legs have been reinforced with L brackets- there are no wobbles and anyone with basic carpentry skills should be able to tighten and re-glue ... moreit. Pictures are part of the description. Circa 1910 Antique Golden Oak Wood Frame Beveled Glass Hall Mirror w Hooks
This golden oak hall mirror is in very good condition.It has its original bevel glass mirror and hooks. It has a dark oxidized finish that can be lightened up by removing the old finish with varnish remover. The bottom piece of wood looks to have been added to the frame many years ago. The stain/finish on that piece of wood is more reddish in color. The wood can be removed or can be stripped and stain with a dark brown stain. I have no doubt that this mirror was once the top part of a hall seat. It was removed and hung on the wall as a decorative and functional piece of furniture. The frame measures 28" tall x 24" wide. Insurance included with the mailing cost.

This pretty and useful table suitable for any home has a moulded edge top over a single frieze drawer and is raised on chamfered tapering legs. The drawer is oak lined with swan neck handles and is of hand crafted dovetail joints. Rare Antique Arts & Crafts Solid Oak Hall or Nursing Chair circa 1900 - 1920's
This is a delightful. One-of-a-kind Antique Arts& Crafts Solid-Oak Chair. Several dealers have dated it from 1900 to 1920 and by all observations that certainly appears to be true. It is solid oak with brass screws. The maker is unknown. The legs have not been cut off since one can still see the maker's original bevels on the bottom of them. The patina and all other visual signs indicate the chair is about one-hundred or so years old. It has not been re-finished. Given the angle of the seat it may have been intended as a nursing chair. It also could serve as a hall chair. One other possibility would be as a desk chair. You be the judge of that. The chair is very sound and has no cracks or breaks. There are two chips out of the back on the cut-out edge which are shown in the photos. They are not glaring. Although the legs and braces ... moreare finished smooth on the edges, the back and the seat edges have been left with saw marks still visible. There is a faint circular outline on the chair seat where a pot may have sat at one time. It is not an indentation of the wood, just a faint semi-circle. I have searched extensively on the web for another chair like this one. I have not found anything even close. It is truly a rarity. The dealers I consulted said they had never seen another like it either. The design itself is quite unique. The elongation of the back down to the braces being the most unusual feature. It adds a touch of elegance to an otherwise simple chair. It will make a wonderful addition to your Arts& Crafts home or furniture collection. The chair measures: 36" from the floor to the top of the back. 19" from the floor to the top of the seat front. 17" from the floor to the top of the sear rear. 14 1/4" depth of the seat from front to back. 14 2/4" width of the seat at the front. 11 5/8" width of the seat at the rear. 20" from the seat to the top of the back. 10 3/4" width of back at widest point. 6 5/8" width of seat at narrowest point. 3/4" thicknes

Antique San Francisco Ca Gold Dust Scale George W. Simmons "Oak Hall" Boston
I do not know the complete history of this piece. But it is really neat. In the mid 1800's George W. Simmons owned and ran the"Oak Hall" in Boston Massachusetts. This was considered a high end tailoring establishment. It seems that he partnered up with Lilly and another Simmons and had some sort of establishment with the need to weigh gold dust here in San Francisco California. I do not have much experience in selling gold scales, so I am not aware if this set is complete. Everything seems to be in good shape. There is a key included that does fit and work the lock, but the locking mechanism is not complete. Other pieces from the"Oak Hall" with George W. Simmons name on it are currently being held in the National Museum of American History aka the Smithsonian in Washington D.C. The current pieces are not on display, ... morebut this might be something interesting enough for them to consider. Vntg Antique Victorian oak Iron wall coat Hat Hall Rack Mission era Craftsman
Unusual and lovely find. Antique wall coat and hat rack. It is an original. And not very common; even the single ones are becoming rare. Beautiful. Long, iron stylized hooks on the top tier; I believe these were for gentlemen's hats. Large in size- 33" long- a real show piece. The wood is oak and as the original finish on it. The hooks can be folded over out of the way when not in use. There originally were 5 long on the top. But one must have been lost, so a bottom one was moved up. I did not notice at first, and then thought it was for a corner wall, but no, there is one missing from the bottom. Rack is approximately 33 by 7" wide in measurements. A very special original home decor item. When attaching to wall. It needs 2 sets of hooks on each wooden tier for security. Thank you. See pictures for further detail.
