The table stands on turned bun feet, rising over this are the plain stretchers and lovely rich coloured baluster turned legs, having a moulded frieze and the drawer having a very decorative punched and chip carved decoration either side of the moulding and a matched punched decoration in the moulding of dog tooth designs. The drawer has pine linings and oak side rails, with the drawer runners cut into the side of the drawer frame. The table is surmounted by a solid oak top with cleated ends(which are a later repair) The table has a beautiful rich antique patination. A ... morelovely original antique country oak table suitable as a hall, side, centre, writing table or desk, of classic joined construction with mortise and tennon joints with dowels. Date: The table dates circa 1650- 1750- 17th- 18th Century. Condition: The table is in good condition for its age. There is some gnarling in one of the feet with minor distress marks to leading edges. There are some old woodworm holes and a little filler has been used in the side rail of the drawer. Nothing structural but worth a mention. The table is around 200- 300 years old therefore has character to reflect its age. There is a little lifting to one of the cleats in the timbers and the top is pegged in the corners, where the top meets the legs. The drawer front has a couple of pieces of wood'let in' over time. There are 6 of the original coat hooks and the beveled mirror has NOT been resilvered. The hall tree is from the Arts& Crafts era. Early 1900s. in good original condition. The base does not have the lift up seat. The drip pan is not original, but works very well. The beveled mirror needs to be resilverd or replaced($45) Stands about 80 inches tall AND is 21 inches wide, not counting the umbrella holder. This is the first time I’ve ever seen this model of a tiger sawn oversized library table. ... moreYou can call it a conference table or a library table, but I call it one gorgeous table. It is so heavy. It comes apart in four pieces, the top is actually tiger sawn oak veneer over a laminated ash top that is 1-7/8 inches thick. There’s a seam down the middle where someone must have cut it and then re-glued it to put it into a home because it’s so heavy, without realizing that it’s manageable if you take it apart first. We brought it back from the estate from which we purchased it, stripped it, sanded and stained it, made sure that the seam in the middle was perfectly sound, reinforced the base and the top to make sure it was all good, then refinished it in a beautiful medium amber oak stain. The table dates from probably the 1890s– 1910s, and has a wicked thick round-cornered top, a double column pedestal platform shoe base that is 4 inches thick, big turned spindles in the center, and is joined together with a big cross member. The size of the table is 86 inches long, and it goes across 48 inches across, and is 31 inches high. I am a spread-out type person, myself, and I have a similar table in my office. this is a nice old victorian hall tree very detailed as you can see by the picture the mirror does move has lion or dragon coat holders 25' wide 81' tall 6' deep has one drawer. Features four iron double hooks-the kind that will hold a hat above and a coat below; these hooks were originally painted a gold-brass color but have aged to a distressed finish. The style is somewhat Mission/Arts& Crafts-very simple in design; it looks like oak wood. But I am no expert so I can't say for sure-please refer to photos to judge. Condition is pretty much as it appears in photos. It is old; as its handcrafted it is somewhat primitive and is unfinished on undersides that don't show. Which is typical with antiques; it shows normal vintage wear(some dings here and there and a few hairlines-one was behind a hook-see pics) but nothing too bad. Two of the"feet" ... moreare loose and one had a screw added to it on underside at some point but otherwise the feet were nailed on; buyer may wish to nail down the feet more as one popped off while I was taking it apart for packing and I popped it back on, but all that said, it looks good overall and is sturdy and stands fine. It has been taken apart to save on shipping costs. But will easily go back together using a screwdriver for the hooks and a pair of pliers or wrench to tighten the base bolt. Gilded brass coat hooks and lift top seat with storage below. It has applied carvings at the crest, surrounding the top hooks, on the back, under the arms and at the bottom center on the seat skirt. The manufacturer is unidentified. Measurements: Height: 79� overall Width: 38-1/2� at base(widest points) Depth: 17-3/4� overall� Top of Seat From Floor: 17-1/2� Lift-top of Seat: 22-1/2� x 13� It is being offered as we found it. It has had 3 screws recently added to the arms(one on one side. Two on the other side) and one in the base. There are small chips from the wood on the inside of the arm supports which goes unnoticed due to location and doesn’t ... morebother structurally. Two old chips on back of one arm are present(see picture number 13) but is fairly insignificant as they have developed a matching patina and it adds a little character and testament to its age. The mirror appears to be original and never been re-silvered. It isn’t perfect. It shows some streaking and specks, but considering age it isn’t bad. The hall tree retains it’s original finish which is in very nice condition and shows only very minor wear considering age. Other than the added screws mentioned above. It is completely original. Antique Oak Hall Tree w. Beveled Mirror, circa 1900
This is a very unusual hall tree. I have never seen one quite like it. There are flat grooved columns on each side with hooks at top, they are connected to back with a shelf. Applied carving adorns the crest with hook on each side. Instead of the typical lift up lid there is a large drawer at the bottom w. brass handle pull. on the left side behind column is an umbrella holder with original drip pan. The shaped beveled mirror is original, hence there are a few spots and streaks, but doesn't detract from the looks. Total width, including umbrella holder, is 39" depth is 18" height is 80-1/2" We have not refinished this hall tree, the finish appears to be original and is quite good, the piece is structurally strong as well. Selling an antique medium(color) oak hall tree. Brass accents. Hall tree has 6 double hat hooks. Drawer has a brass pull tab. The bottom of the tree has two metal trays where the bottoms of umbrellas or canes would have rested. Hall tree features numerous details including crown molding, a beveled swivel mirror, molding cross on the center. Please see the pictures for more details. The entire piece is in great condition, my only recommendation would be to replace the metal trays on the bottom. Antique Shabby & Chic French Paris Apartment Oak Hall Table
Up for auction is this antique hall table. It is very shabby chic in style and has been painted a pale blue. It is made of solid English oak with baltic pine floors to the 3 drawers which have lovely dovetailed joins. The drawers all run smoothly. This gorgeous piece dates back to the 1920's or so. It measures 109cm wide. 53cm deep and stands 81cm high 90cm to the top of the backboard. It is all in very good condition with some worn paint but that just adds to its charm. Beautiful quarter sawn American oak double hall tree. Very ornate carving with no breaks or missing areas. Each of the two coat racks have three hangers. Beveled mirror. With one inch bevel, is very clear without flaws. It was re-silvered approx. seven years age. The seat lifts to provide an excellent storage area for games, puzzles or clothing items. for sale is a very large quartersawn oak hall tree or hall bench with a mirror big enough to be called a pier mirror. it has very nice quartersawn flake throughout the entire piece. mirror is original and is beveled and shows a tiny big of silver loss and some smokiness. it has nice carvings at various places that can be seen. it has neat arms and arm supports that are very thick. Shaped, and has molding cuts. it has a large storage area under the seat. it is a very large hall tree, 88 inches tall, 16.5 inches deep, and 42 inches wide. all the carving is tight and intact, no missing pieces as far as i can tell. it is very solid and sturdy. it has not loose parts or pieces. it has a very nice contoured crest with a cut out in the center. the arm and arm supports are pegged into the hall tree. i hope the pictures are good enough to add to the ... moredescription. hall trees this size are not too plentiful and don't come up for sale often. it may be picked up at my home or shipped at buyer's expense. if shipped i would recommend an antique mover due to the large mirror and large size. good luck.

To assure safe transport, I have taken it apart. This will not affect the value as the table legs where screwed to the top and middle shelf. The Hallrobe is in good overall but used condition and is ready to place in the setting of your choice, It a superb quality item and is made of solid oak throughout. It has a carved flared cornice above a single door with brass pull handle, the door has the most fantastic detail with carved central medallion which is surrounded by geometric detail, it also has split bar, bead and floral carved detail throughout the front of the piece, the hallrobe stands on turned front legs and square back legs, all of which are united by stretchers, The interior has a single shelf with hanging rail which runs from left to right ... moreand a rectangular mirror to the reverse of the door. Condition The hallrobe is 100% sound. Sturdy and free from woodworm, it has slight shrinkage to the centre panel at the top and a very faint bow to the door, very very minimal yet must point out) it has a small pieces of fret carving missing here and there, it has that much carving that it is not noticeable, the mirror has slight misting. al l faults are minimal and are commensurate with age. The Matching solid oak mirror features elegant scroll carvings with a shell carving at the center at the top portion of the mirror with a lovely rolling pin portion at the base of the mirror.
