For your consideration is this fantastic looking hat/coat rack made out of a piece salvaged of furniture. The quarter sawn oak backboard and carvings are beautiful. The piece has 5 vintage style cast iron hooks measuring 5" tall x 3 1/2" deep. There is a small chip at the top center of the lions head. It appears to have been done sometime ago as it has the same darkened patina overall. Overall the piece measures 16" tall x 50" wide x 4 1/2" deep. This is between Edwardian and Art Deco styling. This piece is so rare and scarcely seen anywhere. It boasts a lovely tiger oak case with minimal wear for its age. The hooks and upper railing are nickel. Some oxidation. Might clean up. The upper railing usually was used for hats. On each side of the mirror is two enameled circles with flying gees motif. This is an Antique/ Vintage Oak Wooden Wall Mounted Coat Rack. The hooks can be swivel out for use or flush with the frame when not in use in several configurations as seen in the lower composite main photo. And an additional photo. The oak has a beautiful grain. The maximum overall dimensions are 24 3/4" x 5" x 5/8" The maximum projection from the wall when the hooks are swung out for use is 2 5/8" There are steel or iron eyehooks and rings on the top for hanging. For added stability. Larger eye hooks could be used with wood screws, or for mounting on drywall, molly bolts or hollow wall anchors could be used instead. The holder was purchased in England and it was likely made there. We were not able to find out specifically when it was made. But it looks like it could possibly be Victorian. Here is a wonderful wall hanging coat rack with mirror and swiveling hooks. That is perfect for the smaller entryways or apartment living. It is an authentic Late Victorian Stick and Ball piece, made of beautiful grained Oak, with cast iron hooks, and a beveled glass central mirror. The piece measures 35-1/2 inches long and is 15-1/4 inches tall. There is a short split in the wood on the top of the vertical frame on the right side of the mirror. The original beveled mirror has some fogging. One of the iron hooks is broken off and missing. These flaws are all photographed. You could probably have a new hook cast from one of the existing hooks, but it ... morereally isn't necessary because it is only noticable if you know it is missing. The original mirror back is present and doesn't look like it was ever removed. It has wonderful age related oxidation and no marks to indicate that the nails were ever removed. Here we have a lovely antique railroad coat hook- the wood features a nice beveled edge around the bottom and sides and measures 31" x 3 5/8" There are two sturdy eye-hooks. So it is ready to hang. It has five nicely decorated iron double hooks connected with steel rods. The top hook sticks out about 2 1/8" from the base and the bottom hook sticks out about 1 1/4" from the base. The top rack part sticks up about 6" from the base. The wood was carved out to hold the hooks- the center three are a little wobbly side to side, but not loose where they are connected. This is truly an outstanding piece and one I really hate to part with. But the time has come, as you will see in my pictures, this wonderful early Oak Wall Mount Hat& Coat Rack features Cast Iron Antler designed hooks. This piece is 100% original condition all I ever did was dust it, as you will see there are a couple of very old paint droppings on the wood itself and the one end was cut off back in the day. The only reason I could figure for this was it was just abit to long for where the old girl wanted it hung on the wall. It is made up of three oak poles that are joined by a ball joint near the top, brass chains between them and the base being a wood basin that hooks to all three poles. Forming a type of TeePee shape. At the top is 6 separate brass hooks, the top with ball finials and ball feet. It measures approx. 64" tall and the basin is approx. 17 1/2" across. The only thing we saw to note was a few age cracks on the basin and the basin had 3 brass medallions on it, one of them is missing. Truly a stunning early piece and completely unique. GOOD LUCK!
