Hammer marks abound throughout the sturdy construction(weight, approximately 65 lbs. Unsigned. Circa 1925. Two of the leaves among those constituting the surround to the naturalistic rose at the top of the elliptical element below the mirror have recently been repaired. That is, the iron element representing a plant stem(approximately 1/8" diameter) with the leaves attached to it, was cleanly broken at its original weld point(i.e. basally) some years ago, and is now expertly repaired(re-welded, by a professional ironworker) The piece is 4" long, and both it and its point of attachment on the larger whole are without loss. This re-weld matches the others on the piece as regards size, shape and color. The hat hook on the far left and that on the far right are slightly loose. That is, they swivel on the rods that attach them to the frame. The mirror, held by four metal tabs on the back(one on each side) is not original; a small piece(approximately 1/2" square) of glass is missing in the upper right corner, though the mirror is covered around its edges by the wrought iron, and the missing piece is scarcely noticeable. 1890 ANTIQUE MAHOGANY CLAW FOOT w/ LION HEADS VICTORIAN HALL TREE STAND - 7 foot
This auction is for Pick-up Only. Hall Tree is too large for me to ship. It can be picked up in North Central New Jersey or buyer may make arrangements with their own shipper for pickup. This auction is for a Late 19th Century Victorian Mahogany Hall Tree. It measures approx. 86" tall or just over 7 feet. It has a carved ball at the top. It has 5 Brass hangers on top. It is missing one hanger. It is covered with Acanthus leaf carvings at the top near hangers and again down the column. it has a tapering spiral carved section at the top of the column(see pictures) The base has has four legs with Lion heads which have open mouths and another Acanthus type leaf in front of that. Legs end in a large paw foot. The carvings on this have outstanding detail(see pictures) Finish is original and has a nice Dark Mahogany Patina(color) There are ... morea few scuffs to end of paw feet. Small chip on Acanthus carving was glued back on, and a few small chips missing to carvings here& there but nothing major. Nice large legs on this piece. Legs measure 3.5" wide. Usually you would see legs like these on an item and they would be a little loose or have an open joint but these legs are tight and very strong with no opening or play at the joint of the column. Top section does come apart with large original dowel(see picture) This will need to be reglued by buyer or buyer will need to have someone who is familiar with gluing a dowel to glue this for them. The Hall tree transports much easier with top off. A superb Antique Hall Tree with a 100 year old+ Original Finish. Item must be paid for with Paypal prior to pickup. The stand comes with 2 teak coat hangers(very rare) Dimensions: 67 inches overall height. 28 inch long arms, 19 inch diameter base. The condition is very good. There are some light scratches and dings. But nothing major to detract from the beauty of it. Please examine the photos. The stand comes dis-assembled as shown in the last picture. It's easy to assemble. By screwing the pole pieces starting from the bottom and adding the arms and spacers as you go. When you come to the very top piece, be careful not to over-tighten, as the thread in it is beginning to get stripped. The top piece should not be tightened too much any way, as the hanger arms are meant to be rotated into various ... morepositions as needed. Up for auction is a RARE piece of early National Linen Service Corp. history. I don't know what you would call this. A stand, a dispenser, a hamper, or a Hall Tree. I call it RARE because I've had this piece for years and have NEVER been able to find out anything about it. It has a decal on the front that says APEX LINEN SERVICE CHATTANOOGA. TENN. no zip code) Under the upper shelf. Stamped or impressed into the wood is PROPERTY OF NAT. LINEN SER. CORP. We used a spotlight on the second photo to make it easier for you to read. I've researched this piece locally and spent countless hours over the years researching on the internet. I've never been able to find anything about ... moreit and I've never seen another one like it. Which drives me crazy because I want to know what was originally attached to the top shelf and why is the hole there. If you know, please email me. The piece is approx. 52 3/4" tall x 14 1/8" at its widest point x 14 1/8" deep at the base. The shelf not counting the back is approx. 10" deep. If you count the back and side rails it is 11 1/2" deep. I have no idea what the screen in the bottom is for. This piece DOES need refinishing. It's been sitting around for many. Many years and the original finish is mostly gone. It was covered with dust. So we the cleaned the dust off it, then wiped it down with some furniture polish so you could see at least some of the grain in the wood(there is some nice quarter sawed oak in some areas) We missed a few spots with the polish, which you may see in a couple of the photos(especially by the feet) I did find out that in 1928 Southern Linen changed its name to National Linen Service Corporation. That being the case. This piece does look like a 1920's era piece. So it is quite possible this is a VERY RARE and early piece of National Linen Service history. This pie

Antique Victorian Gothic Hall Tree Umbrella/Stand w/drip pans/mirror/marble top
This was given to me by a good friend who couldn't fit it in her home after she inherited it. I do not have the space for it now. It is in good condition. But has a few flaws. The quality of the wood is amazing. The drip pans are iron and a beautiful shell design. There are a few flaws which are in the pictures. tiny chip in marble top. missing left side bar which holds umbrellas. It is a clean cut. Must have come loose and then unfortunately lost. Bottom of glove box is missing a bar under it to hold up the drawer. Easy fix. Mirror was removed during transport. In very good condition though. Email any questions. I am negotiable. Here is a hard to find Mid Century Modern. Atomic, coat rack or hall tree. This came out of a local architect's home with many Mid Century furnishings. There are 8 hangers on the top and 8 more in the center area. The light gold has minor wear but looks great as is(see photos) Can be spray painted if desired. There is a subtle pattern running through the center pole. It stands approximately 72 inches tall with a 66 inch tall center pole. The distance between the legs is 23 inches. Antique HALL TREE mirror umbrella entry way holder stand wood
I have a barn find from my great grandmothers estate. This is a amazing beautiful piece. It is a umbrella stand that has mirror and is very unique. The wood is a hard wood and darker color. There is a hook missing. The mirror needs polishing. There is a custom piece of wood to cover drawer. The drawer needs to be sanded inside it will not open. I believe there used to be marble on top of drawer. This is in great overall condition fot its age. I am not sure of age however. Will polish up great and clean. Look at pictures.
