a lot of 4 extremely vintage very old solid brass drawer knobs. These are original to the 1940s. Came of of a very old gossip desk. The desk was a nice cherrywood finished table but needed too much restoration so it was salvaged into a new folk art piece and these knobs didn't go with the new folk art piece that was made so I am selling them off so they find a good home. an antique and authentic Ottoman Turkish hand made iron coffee roaster with a folding handle in three which inlaid with brass bars(end of 19th century) handle 35.5 cm in length pot opening 9 cm/ base 10.5 cm in diameter 400 gr The roaster has a handle folding in three. The two rings on the handle fixes the roaster unbending by roasting at a distance. The handle is incised by hand with floral motives and inlaid with brass bars. The pot with a nice crown(see pict 3) is hand hammered. Hand incised and hand shaped like the handle itself. Antique Candy Making Machine Crandell Pettee Co Cast Iron T Mills Brass Molds
Up for auction is a rare. Antique"butterscotch" candy making machine from The Crandell Pettee Co. with brass molds from the famous T. Mills& Brothers Co. of Philadelphia PA. The machine is marked on the base with a brass plaque that reads: Crandell Pettee Co. COR HUDSON& BEACH STS NEW YORK. There are several places on the base where the initials CP appear. The brass mold is marked with T MILLS& BRO PHILA. PA around the metal piece that turns. This is made of heavy cast iron with rotating brass rollers and has its original wood handle(with no cracks in the wood) and great correct shade of green paint. The approximate weight is 25 pounds. The base is about 13 1/2" long and 6 1/2" wide(not including the handle portion) The handle is approximately 10.5" long. And the wood portion of the handle is about 5" ... morelong. The handle turns, rotating the two brass rollers. There is some minor rust to the metal portions of the cranking gears, and it appears to be missing a screw at the top. Antique Bamboo Fly Rod, 8', Brass, 2 Original End Pieces, Unsigned, Fabric Case
What an exciting find! This antique bamboo fly rod is roughly 8'1" with one of its end pieces on and approx two or three inches shorter when you connect the second of the two end pieces onto it. They are connected by beautiful brass made with excellent craftsmanship. The entire rod is an example of quality. It does need some minor tuning up to make it perfect. But structurally she is sound and feels tight and strong. It is an unsigned piece, as far as I can tell, however my knowledge in this area is lacking and if anyone viewing this has any idea who the maker is or what exact time frame it dates from, please, take a moment to email me and fill me in! ANTIQUE BRASS TONE METAL FRAME w/ ELABORATE TOOLED DESIGN ON ALL SIDES 1910-20's
BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE TOOLED DESIGN METAL FRAME– PROBABLY BRASS– does not attract a magnet. But don’t know for sure. FRAME ONLY– NO GLASS. NO BACKING. Frame weighs about 11 ounces before any packing materials. Frame is circa 1910– 1920’s. Some slight discoloration on the frame– looks worse in my pictures than in real life. Also visible a little on the inside of the frame. Would polish out but I don’t want to touch the original finish on the frame. Raised tooled design on all sides of the frame– even the back. Front is rounded out on all sides and is hollowed out on the back– it must have been made over a shaped surface to give the front sides that raised design. Applied design on the front corners. With the piece mounted by small squares on the inside corners– see photo. MEASUREMENTS: from the outside the measurements are just less than 10 inches ... moreby 12 inches. The visible opening for a picture are about 7 ½ inches by 9 ½ inches. From the side the frame is about 3/4 inch deep measured to the centers of the front. Each side of the front measures 1 ¼ inch wide. Glass and backing slide into the frame from the lower back side– probably had a velvet back with an easel stand. I DO NOT HAVE THE GLASS AND DO NOT HAVE THE ORIGINAL BACK– I AM SELLING THE FRAME ONLY. ALL SALES FINAL. I am selling items that have some age to them. The back of the wood has"West Germany" etched into the wood and a partial orange label written in German. The 2nd chime mechanisim coil measures 4" across and is attached to a black cast iron mount measuring 3" x 2" The largest brass gear measures 2.5" wide and the smallest measures.75" Also includes an assortment of chime hammer arms and a few gear housings.
