Up for auction is an Antique William Tonks& Sons Coat rack or Hall tree. Has a goat or ram's head in center. 5-white porcelain knobs, torch on top, wreath around neck of ram, and hooks are embossed. On back it is stamp with an eight point sun with the letters W.T.S. which dates it to 1869-1900 made in England. It is cast brass, measuring 12" tall by8.5" wide by 5" off the wall. This is a Victorian brass coat/hat hook hanger. It has ornate designs and a small hole in the bottom hook. It is marked on the back 86. It measures about 8" from top to bottom. Nice condition in need of a polishing to remove the tarnish. I think it is a bit unusual in design. May have been used on a hall tree but it seems a bit large and would be very nice as a single wall hook for hallway or bathroom. Here is a rare find. it has become difficult to find quality period Art Nouveau furniture like this) It is a Large& original Art Nouveau hall mirror. Umbrella stand, coat rack, etc. It is an impressive +/ 7 feet tall and about 6 feet across. It is in as found condition. Which is quite good, solid and nearly complete(as I can remember, it is in storage now) it does not have the tin umbrella drip tray inserts( easily made& plain) The brass ornate single& double coat/hat hooks are magnificent and should be worth about $1000 alone for the 8 of them. I believe that the wood is walnut. Here is a beautiful vintage oak hall tree I think it was made by Pulaski it has a marble top table which measures 14 x 9 3/4 a place to put umbrellas or canes on both sides with brass plates on the bottom to catch any water. Four lovely curved brass with porcelain knob hangers, the mirror has a frosted etched pattern around the entire mirror, the entire piece is 6' 7"tall it is 21 3/4" wide and 11" deep. I attended an auction for the Chase Hotel in St Louis and this was one of the items that caught my eye. The Chase was renovating and I bid and won the item. It looks beautiful and is a shiny and well made as the day it was purchased. I am sure they spent quite a bit on this item. It was in one of their main rooms for Dining. Everything is as the photos show and it does not tip and is sturdy in the stand with all pieces tight with brass screws. It would add a bit of nostalgia and also serve a useful purpose in any home. Get ready for winter with this brass coat rack. It's 68" tall in the center, the top of the arms are 70" tall. The tops are 18 1/2" across. The base is 23" X 23" Each foot has a screw adjuster for leveling. No dents or bent pieces, the brass shows its age but it's not as tarnished as others this old. I think most of the dark patina could be removed. One ball on the lower section is missing(see pix) and a few of the cap nuts have been replaced. For shipping it will be partially disassembled but it is very easy to put back together.

Coat Hook Pair: 1800's Cast Brass for Hall Tree: Gothic Spiderweb
Pair of cast brass coat/hat hooks from the 1800's. Interesting spider web design. One has a separation in the pattern. Apparently caused by under-filling the mold. Each measures 3.5" vertically, 3.75" horizontally. Both have 2"l threaded rod with nut. Natural finish as found, sold as is, and as a pair. Price recently reduced from 75.00. Ornate Antique Solid Brass Coat Hat Rack Hall Tree Stand
This looked too ornate and had too much potential to be scrapped as brass. This looks to be solid brass. They don't make them like this any more. Weighs roughly 12 lbs and is roughly 73.5 inches tall(6'1.5" Some of the screws have broken off and need to be extracted. One screw remains that can be used to match new screws. Please see pictures. A great project for someone. The scrap price for brass is roughly $2 a lbs so the opening bid is set to $24 which would be the scrap price for this brass coat stand. I hope this is bought and not sent for scrap.
