This hall tree was refinished by the previous owner, and they did a really nice job. They strengthened the back of the mirror with support sticks as shown in the photos, too. It is tight and sturdy, scroll front legs, lift top seat, applied carving on the base and shapely mirror top. The overall size is 36 inches wide on the outside of the arms, 29 inches wide on the inside of the arms, 17 inches deep, 18 inches high to the seat, 28 inches high to the arms and the overall height is 84 inches. This hall tree measures 85 inches in height.42 inches wide at widest point and 13 inches deep and weighs approximately 85 lbs. The actual mirror portion measures 23 inches in height by 14 3/4 inches wide.There are 10 original turned oak hall/ hat hooks that each project out 5 inches, and the original square metal drip pans at the base each measure 6 1/ 2 inches by 6 1/2 inches. The original finish does have wear and shows some loss in areas. And the mirror does have some mild cloudiness and streaking as age appropriate. Pair Copeland Spode Cov Urns c1895- Mazarin Blue& Gold This is an unusual antique fine Pair of English Porcelain Urns with Lids. The modeling. Décor, glaze, and gilding are masterfully done on this late19 th century pair. The backgrounds on each are decorated with enameled mottled colors of medium dark blue. Or Mazarin blue. The urns are decorated with transfer decoration. Having gilded borders with colorful medallion crests with colors of iron red, green, and yellow. The body of each urn has three reserves of gilded figures of a regal bird and vases with flowers. Each lid has matching borders and a large gilded top knob. The insides and underside bottoms are glazed; the bottom edges of the lid foot rims are unglazed. One base has a reddish tint in the porcelain on the underside base probably due to a glaze slip from the original ... moremaking. The other urn base has a backstamp mark on the outside in green. SPODE COPELANDS CHINA ENGLAND, and in red R6884, with a T underneath, and another mark in red that is nondescript, probably the gilders mark. Each lid has a backstamp mark on the outside of the insert in green, SPODE COPELANDS CHINA ENGLAND. Reference books date this backstamp mark at 1891 to 1900+. The estimated date is circa 1895.
