Antique Cast Iron Shoemaker/Cobbler's Bench Stand and Shoe Form
This auction is for an antique shoemaker/cobbler’s stand and one shoe form. It has four bolt holes around the bottom. I assume to secure it in place. I found this item in my late father-in-law’s pump house. And I have no idea how old it is. There is rust bloom. I do not know the exact age, but I believe the tiles and marble mostly date to around 1880-1910. This washstand comes in two separate pieces; 1)The marble top, wood and tile backsplash; 2) wood cabinet base that is supported by four nicely turned legs on original convenient casters. Naturally this piece has some minor imperfections but overall it is ... morein very good cosmetic and structural condition; it is strong and sturdy. Not sure of the type of wood. But this spacious cabinet opens with two paneled doors. The doors are beautifully adorned with the original ornate bronze pulls that show a lovely patina. The cabinet finish may not be original. I have owned this for 30 years and never refinished it, I don't know what was done prior. The marble top is one solid beautiful piece. It is ¾" thick with straight edges. The veining color is in shades of browns. Burgundy and creams. It is the original marble top and is among the nicest to be seen. It is very heavy as it sits on top of the cabinet. The backsplash is attached to the marble with screws from underneath. But. The best thing about this is the gorgeous set of original Art Nouveau hand-made, hand-painted glazed tiles. The floral designs are raised and detailed with a 3-D look; these original tiles are in great condition, and the colors as well as the Art Nouveau design, complement the cabinet perfectly. The tiles show light crazing and only one shows a hairline crack. I have not removed any tiles to see if they are marked, but this piece is worth the price

Made in England, Victorian era, Circa 1890, Mahogany, Hidden drawer, Carved leg, Dovetailed drawer, Some normal wear to top, Age splits and old repairs to apron, A wonderful antique specimen from England around 1890. This hall table was probably once used as a washstand. But today would function perfectly in a foyer, entryway, hallway, or stairwell. The mahogany has a particularly nice patina to it that can only come with age. The piece features a hidden drawer in the middle for a little bit of storage room. The nicely carved front leg gives the table ... moresome pizazz while the clean lines of the piece don't over do it. The drawer is dovetailed, a sign of high quality craftsmanship. There are a few age splits and old repairs in the apron shown in the photos. These are purely cosmetic phenomenon and do not affect the structural integrity of the piece. The top also shows wear marks consistent with age and has a faded ring to the right side. Overall the table is quite sturdy and would make a wonderful addition to any home. The top is a beautiful patinated mahogany. It is in good condition. You can see the slight ring to the right side. The top does show signs of wear consistent with age in the form of tiny dings all over the surface some of which can be seen here. The wonderfully carved leg is supportive and good looking. Or mirror stand& vanity dating from the early Showa period between1930 and the early 50's boasts an adjustable 3 way mirror that creates multiple reflections, made in a beautiful extra thick quality glass with beveled borders that still has a very clear reflection for its age. The center below the mirror is adorned with a textured glass surface reflecting a pale blue colour. Its Art deco lines, adorned with a lovely stripy grain veneer in a golden shade are accented by silver tone openwork handles. I don't know whether to call this Chinese or Japanese but which ever you decide to call this oriental pottery umbrella stand. You will be sure to add the word BEAUTIFUL! The raised decorations of flowers, butterflies and symbols are amazing up close. They are three dementional. Look at an enlarged photo of the butterflies and roses to see the detail that was put into the artwork. The faux wood grain on the porcelain is extremely well done and makes you take a closer look to see that it is actually pottery instead of wood. There is some cracking at the bottom where the umbrella tips could have cracked it once upon a time. There are no missing pieces or chunk/ chips. The top rim has an area that must have been there prior to painting and glazing since the paint and glaze are over the indentation. This was an estate sale in which another ... moreparticipant and me both bought paintings dating in the early 1800's. Her estate was FULL of VERY OLD items. I have no way to date this with the research I have done, but it is very old. There are no marks on bottom or anywhere else. The pottery is about 1/2 inch thick. This auction is for a small table top folding decorative easel done in an Eastlake style. I think it was designed to hold a small painting or plate and it is black and gold in color. It has some small spots of paint loss and minor wear here and there. But it has no broken parts. It is decorated with stylized flowers and leaves and berries and it is very geometric. Antique Table/Large Stand Hexagon 6 Barley Twist Legs
Burl walnut veneer on the table top is bad and either needs completely replaced or get a piece of marble cut for it-or just put a table cloth on it. The 6 barley twist legs are beautifully turned and were tight and sound when assembled. There is 1 small point missing off a skirt that butts against a leg. I didn't even notice it was missing until I removed the legs for shipping. Table top is 28" diameter across the flats. 32 1/2" across the points. Height is 30 1/2" Wood looks to be stained poplar on the skirt-I can't tell on the legs. Sewing Stand I am proud to present an early sewing stand that I believe is from the Victorian era. The top of stand is a pin cushion that looks like horse hair. The lid opens and inside are multiple metal spindles to hold thread and a mirror on back of lid. Stand measure approximately 32" tall. Top box measures 9" in diameter and 5-1/2' to top of pin cushion. The stand is in exceptional antique condition. The wood is very nice and the pin cushion is intact. Vintage Antique Glass Barometer with wooden barometer stand circa 1913 RARE FIND
You are looking at an english vintage barometer that is approximately 15" tall. Circa 1913. The stand is fashioned from a Worsted Bobbin Flange thread spool from the Calder Valley Mills in Manchester England with a suspended glass barometer. The bottom has a green felt material and gold lettering. This is a simple device. You fill it about 1/3 full with water and can add color if you wish. Vintage 1950's Shure Brothers 51 microphone w S-36 stand old deco antique used
Hello. You are looking at a classic Shure Brothers 51 model microphone that was well admired for it's warm. Clean sound thoughout the 1950's and 60's while in production. This model is the 1st generation with the blue label and was manufactured in Chicago, IL during the early 1950's. This mic is very nice having a minimum of cosmetic issues as seen in the pics provided. It has far less wear for it's age and use than 95% of the 51's around and this combo mic/ desk stand would make a beautiful conversation piece regardless of where it might be displayed. The satin chrome finish has some tiny pitting and scratches that are almost impossible to see from more than two feet away. This old 51 has been thoroughly cleaned and tested and provides a strong clear signal. The front grill is straight and the red silk screen is free ... moreof any holes or stains. The joint mechanism hold strong as it should and the High. Medium, Low impedence switch. Included with this beautiful 51 is a Shure Brothers S-36 stand with all of it's original hardware.
