The top is removable( for this table the top is 500 size KOSHER DILL PICKLES original lid) On the one of the legs there is a crack. But it is sealed, has some of the age wear and some of stain spots. The oak is solid quarter sawn white oak(typical for the period) that has great grain. It has been professionally refinished and restored to provide many additional years of service. This a great looking etagere from the 1800s. It has four shelves and is made of oak. With brass accents and a mirror. Measures 52" tall x 17-1/2" wide x 12-1/2" deep. The stained and varnished scroll-sawed back is of plywood and does not appear to be original to the piece. It is nailed to the back edge of the shelves and could be removed. This item is in very good condition for its age, although with any piece of antique furniture, it does have some small flaws, such as nicks, scratches, etc. While this etagere is not particularly heavy. Very Nice Old Antique Oak Woven Cake or Pie Basket w/ Wood Stand Insert
Here's a very nice old or antique large basket with a lid and dual handles we received recently with some estate items. This one is probably from the 1890's to 1920's don't think much newer and possibly a little older. As baskets go this one is in excellent condition with natural darkening and very nice appearance. This is a pie basket or cake basket and has the four legged platform piece that goes inside. The woven splints appear to be oak on this and the top rail is nailed as we show in the pictures. We did not see any signs of damage or abuse. The base is good. Looking on the top you will note that a couple of the oak splints used were not completely cleaned of the bark edge. Leaving a slightly browner streak of bark at the outer edge of these two splints or strips. On one of these a small fragment of the bark has been ... morelost so we'll note and show it in a picture that it should be of little significance. The basket is about 13.5 inches wide and 12 inches deep, it stands about 8.5 inches tall to the cover and 13 inches tall to the top of a handle when the handle is fully upright. Exceptionally nice old woven oak basket suited to continued use when"bringing the pie" or cake) during holidays and family events, or take out the insert and have a moderate sized picnic basket. That's about it. The pictures should be helpful to those having interest. We'll start this old or antique basket low so enjoy the auction. We'll pack this carefully. Offered without reserve is an old oak plant stand/ fern pedestal from an estate. This stand would date back into the Victorian era circa 1900. It has a fantastic looking turned fluted column and 4 carved claw or paw feet on the bottom. The finish is old and original, it has some age crazing normally seen on an antique piece from this era but it looks very good overall. There are various small dings, light scratches and a small chip in the column shown in the 4th close up photo, the top has some stains but it is what you would expect a piece that is over 100 years old to look like, it is an old original antique. This auction is for an antique most unusual MISSION. ARTS& CRAFTS, Victorian era side accent table. Here comes the story on the table. It sat in the corner of my grandparents summer cottage for all 70 years that they owned the cottage. It originally held a lamp that was an apothecary jar filled with marbles. I only mention that. Because my brother through a"Dick and Jane" book at me, and it broke the lamp, and the marbles went everywhere. Our butts were sore for the entire evening after that. When my family sold the cottage. I just had to have the table. I took it home, placed it in a corner with a huge fern on it until, I moved out of that house in 1988. When I was moving the table is the first time I ever noticed that one& half of the six legs were broken off. I was telling my mom about it, and she laughed and told me ... morethat I must be blind because the legs were gone since before I was born in 1947. She told me that was the reason it was in the corner for all those years. I can't believe I missed it. It never wobbled for me. And, as you can see, it stands straight when you have things placed on it. The top needs refinishing for sure. It has 12 sides to it. And a beading ball rim. The oak body has rounded off ridges running the length of the table. There are cut out diamond shapes around the table. If you can live with the unusual leg problem. And love things in a shabby condition, you could really love this true ARTS& CRAFTS little table. It can be used in many styles of home decor. Such as,Steampunk, Victorian, Arts& Crafts, Gothic, and if you dare to paint it, shabby and chic. I have for sale two of these antique oak nightstands/ end tables/ plant stands. They both stand 31 inches tall. The top measures 18 by 12 inches. The edges are ornate carved. The lady I bought them form said they were 60 years old plus. She had them for that long. Tey are different in the aspect that the bottom shelf is at different levels. One of them. The shelf is at 16.5 inches from the floor. The other one is 10.5 inches from the floor. They are in very good condition for the age. This is a great set with rare high back chair. There is one circular stain on the table to p and a couple of small splinter spots pro ubly from dusting. Antique Victorian Oak Purdonium or Coal Scuttle Stand with Mirror c. Late 1800's
Uncommon antique Victorian purdonium or coal scuttle stand. Beautifully grained oak stand with a small mirror with bevelled edges. Piece is on castors and has handles on the side to allow it to be moved easily. Tilting storage area looks like it has a tin lining for storing coal. The front has a beautiful design of scrollwork and garlands. Elaborately curved sides lead from the top of the cabinet up to a miniature bonnet top with scrolled sides and a flower in the middle. These pieces are more common in the U.K. But rarely seen here in the U.S. Most likely dates from the late 1800's or very early 1900's. Overall. The stand is in very good condition. There is a very small amount of seperation on the sides where the two boards join. See pictures. The tin lining is also worn and a little beaten up, probably from use. Otherwise, there ... moreis no damage and very little wear to this piece. No silver loss to the mirror. The purdonium stands 39.5" tall uncluding the cornice or 35.5" to the top surface. Rare and unusual fern or plant stand, or it could be a stand for a jardiniere. at any rate, it is a neat piece to say the least. it is hexagon in shape and the sides( 6 or them) are all bombayed and serpentine. it is quartersawn oak to perfection. no damages to note, mint condition, all original except it has been refinished, another painted piece, mercy. i have included a picture of a piece that is very much like this one. the book it is in has a copyright of 1998, so it is 15 years old. it list the piece between 650 and 700. i paid 350 years ago and had to refinish it. at any rate, i am starting it at what i have in it cash outlay. it may be picked up at my home or shipped usps or fedex or ups for less than 50.00 i would think. shipping is buyer's expense, should you do the buy it now, i will pay the shipping. good luck. sorry ... morei forgot the dimensions, it is 16.5 inches across the top diagonally, each of the 6 sides is about 8.5 inches wide. it stands about 18.5 inches tall

It has a beautiful solid golden oak top and a very fancy cast iron base. It is certainly one of the nicest looking, and best quality stands we have ever had the oportunity to offer for auction. Primitive Antique Tabletop Doll Oak Wood Clothes Drying Rack Stand
Up for auction is an antique wood clothes line stand for doll clothes. I believe it all to be made out of oak. And it is solid. The rack is in very good condition for its age. The string that is on the rack needs to be replaced as it is cut in a few spots and may be getting dry rot. I don't know how the arms would lock into place and I haven't tried to force it. It is 15" tall and the arms stretch out to about 20" The base legs are 12" from end to end. Great primitive piece. This will be disassembled for shipping.
