I purchased this beautiful Antique French Country Corner Chair with hand-braided Rush Seat at the famous"La Batte" market in Liege. Belgium in early 2014. The chair is in excellent/great condition, and has been well-cared for in my home as well. There is a small dark spot on the rush that can be seen in the photo. The measurements are 27"H x17"x 17. I have 4 total chairs that I purchased in Belgium that I will be listing on eBay. All are in great condition and would be a welcome addition to anyone's home.

The back consists of four recessed floral and leaf carved panels. Flanking the panels and to the whole of the outer frame. The settle is enriched with punch work. Above these recessed back panels is a row of carved floral demi-lunes. Two shaped down swept arms are secured in place by bobbin turned spindles to the seat frame. Below the hinged seat lid. Beautiful quarter sawn antique oak hall tree. This piece is early 1900's with bevel mirror. Four double coat hooks which look like they have been painted gold, lift top seat with storage underneath. This piece is nice condition. It does have an old repair on the top inner right arm, close to the back where it was cracked and then has been glued. I have done nothing to this piece as it was acquired in an estate sale and is offered as it is. Lovely piece for entryway and so useful with quite a bit of storage in bench seat.
