Oak Plant Stand Artisan Made from Upcycled Components of Antique Furniture
I bought this plant stand many years ago from an elderly gentleman who upcycled unrepairable antique furniture into functional pieces. It is 21" high. The top is 7 3/4" in diameter and 3/4" thick. The diameter of the base is 11 3/4" It is very sturdy and does not tip with normal use. Although I always placed a saucer under my plants. There is some water damage to the finish on the top. You can also see where the craftsman used dowels to plug holes on the spindle where it once attached to other parts of the original piece of furniture.

This Sturdy Mirror is in very nice condition. With no real damage, although there IS some slight separation at some corners, and a bit of wear, appropriate for its age, but no real damage to speak of. Perfect for a large wall or hallway. This was made to hang horizontally OR vertically. And has hangars attached to hang it either way. This is probably from the turn of the century. Possibly 1910-1930, but I can't be certain. The New Orleans Furniture Manufacturing Co was in business from the late 1800's, so it could be older. But again, I really don't know. The back has a" New Orleans Furniture Mfg Co" sticker. As you can see in the photos. This ... morelooks great. And has NO real damage that I can find. If you look closely at the frame, you'll see there's a fine line, or'split' along one side. This appears to have been in the wood from when this was made, and there's a'repair' holding the frame together. I'm sure there's NO danager of the split getting any worse. Please see the pics. Here is a wonderful vintage jewelry dresser that will make someone very happy this Valentines day! It stands 40.5" tall and is 19.5" wide. It was hand crafted in Hagerstown MD by the Brandt furniture Co. It features four drawers that slide in and out very smoothly. The drawers are lined with red velvet. The are locks on the drawers but I do not have the keys. This is a solid wood piece(I believe its oak) that has a red oak finish. Im not exactly sure what style it depicts? At first glance it looks French style to me but the pulls look a bit Asian. I'm not typically a furniture guy but this piece is definitely and unique enough where I decided to give it a try. This is a unique antique side table with cast iron base and oak wood top. It is made to slide under a bed or couch and be used as a desk while you are sitting in bed. The neck pipe and nut at the neck have been replaced; and one of the wooden caster wheels has also been replace. All the other parts and hardware are original. I think the oak wood top may have been sanded and restained. This advertising piece was perhaps also salesman sample size. Hummel’s Good Furniture was opened in Pottsville. Pennsylvania by Levi Hummel in 1874 and it operated until 1972 at 510 N. Centre Street. Levi’s great grandson. Charlie Hummel, was in the furniture business- with the same business name- in Orwigsburg(Schuylkill County) Pennsylvania(at several different locations over the years- until the store was closed late in 2011) This great display piece is in good vintage condition. I BELIEVE THIS WONDERFUL PIECE TO BE A SALESMAN SAMPLE. BUT AM NOT 100% SURE. THERE IS PERHAPS A CHANCE THAT IT IS A PIECE OF DOLL FURNITURE. IT MEASURES 15" TALL.THE BASE IS 14" WIDE& 5 1/2" DEEP.WHEN THE HINGED TOP SHELF IS FOLDED DOWN IT BASICALLY FORMS A CUBE 14 1/2" WIDE x 7 3/4" TALL x 9" DEEP. WHICH WOULD HAVE NEATLY FIT INTO A SALESMAN'S CARRY CASE. IN PICTURES 5.6. 7.YOU WILL NOTICE AN EMPTY SLOT DIRECTLY UNDER THE BASE TOP MEASURING 12 1/2" WIDE BY 1/2" TALL. I BELIEVE THERE WAS SOME SORT OF TABLE TOP THAT WOULD PULL OUT FORMING A WORK STATION SIMILAR TO A HOOSIER CABINET. I HAD FOUND THIS AT AN ESTATE SALE ABOUT 5 YEARS AGO.
