Gorgeous and in excellent condition for its age. Has a heavy solid aluminum base(easy to polish) and the upper part is probably painted steel. I purchased this from former antique dealers on Lake Michigan who told me it came from an old. Old department store and is from the 1940's. I was going to hack saw the threaded post off at the top and put a finial on it(I will include the finial with the sale if you want it) Or maybe a rod to cover it and a finial will work too. I just used it as-is and it never bothered me, but for aesthetics maybe someone wants to not have the threaded post sticking out. Could use another coat of silver paint, as there is some oxidation here and there. It stands 6'6" to the uppermost hat holder. It is about 24" wide. It is strong enough to hold heavier items. This is an Antique Diamond Hat Rack by Hall Bros in Belding Michigan. Oak with 4 Iron Hooks, 24" x 4" Made between the years 1890- 1910. Item is in acceptable condition with a putty repair by the top right corner(shown) First and last hooks are able to be taken out of their slots and have some slight play. Winner could glue them into their slots or leave it as it is. I used it for years as shown. Winner will not be disappointed if you like what you see or I'll pay the shipping back. This auction is for a antique/vintage hall coat/hat rack. It has 4 metal hooks with screws that have been replaced at some point in time. It has 4 legs. It is a little wobbly- nothing that couldn't be taken care of with a little sanding off the bottom of the legs. The long part of the rack is a little bowed. See pictures for more description. Antique Victorian Solid Oak Frame Round Beveled Mirrored Wall Hall Hat Rack Tree
Offered for auction is this beautiful Victorian era hat rack mirror. It is in very good condition and has its original and very ornate hardware. Hooks. It also has hardware for easy hanging. Beveled port hole style mirror is in very good condition with no cracks or chips. Mirror itself does have a couple of small dark spots from the silvering deteriorating, overall it is still very clear. Solid oak frame is very well made and heavy. Great piece of Victorian craftsmanship. When I ship this I will be taking the hat hooks off and shipping them in a seperate box. I think it will be safer that way. Up for auction is a Rare AAFA Antique Circa early 19th Century Hand Carved Nautical Coat/Hat or Plate Holder/Herb Drying Rack. This is a long. Very old rack at 45.5 inches long. Extends from wall 5 and 1/8 inches, with Width of 10.5 inches. The carvings are simply spectacular and the nautical hooks are very rare and unique.This is a one of a kind 19th Century antique coat rack/herb drying rack. The back of the coat rack/kitchen rack is not uniform as shown in photo, since there is a small curved strip of board missing at the top of the back board which is not seen anyhow once mounted to wall, or, the rack could have been intentionally made with this board originally. Rack sits flat on a wall or table. Was most likely made for holding plates, hanging pots,and drying herbs.
