Antique Oak Hall Tree w. Beveled Mirror, circa 1900
This is a very unusual hall tree. I have never seen one quite like it. There are flat grooved columns on each side with hooks at top, they are connected to back with a shelf. Applied carving adorns the crest with hook on each side. Instead of the typical lift up lid there is a large drawer at the bottom w. brass handle pull. on the left side behind column is an umbrella holder with original drip pan. The shaped beveled mirror is original, hence there are a few spots and streaks, but doesn't detract from the looks. Total width, including umbrella holder, is 39" depth is 18" height is 80-1/2" We have not refinished this hall tree, the finish appears to be original and is quite good, the piece is structurally strong as well. We are pleased to offer this wonderful antique. Arts and Crafts chandelier. This chandelier features ornate design in the Tudor/Gothic style. The frames are open and are gilt, hammered iron with brass bottom sections. There are 3 crowns/crests attached to the center band of the chandelier. The center downrods feature an incised pattern. The chandelier retains their original ceiling cover/canopies. The canopy is brass and features an embossed, repousse pattern which is quite ornate and which also repeats the crown/crest design. Very good, antique condition. There is some aged patina to the gilted iron and some age spots on the brass. There is a small ring on the bottom finial. This is a very nice old chandelier. Considering their age, their condition is very good. Their wiring is vintage but has been updated from the original and is is in ... morevery good condition. Chandelier measures 20" in height from bottom to top finial; 8" in diameter at the widest point. The hanging chain measures approximately 30" and the canopy measures 6" in length. Up for auction is this antique hall table. It is very shabby chic in style and has been painted a pale blue. It is made of solid English oak with baltic pine floors to the 3 drawers which have lovely dovetailed joins. The drawers all run smoothly. This gorgeous piece dates back to the 1920's or so. It measures 109cm wide. 53cm deep and stands 81cm high 90cm to the top of the backboard. It is all in very good condition with some worn paint but that just adds to its charm. Very nice antique silver plated tea set comprising a teapot. Milk jug and sugar bowl. By Walker& Hall and all in lovely condition it has an Art Deco look about it and a solid quality feel. Teapot measures 11 inches from spout to edge of handle. Milk jug and sugar bowl are 2.75 inches high. Look like it has never been used- the teapot is very clean inside- the exterior could do with a polish but otherwise excellent. Here is a very pretty. Beautiful quality antique silver plated basket which stands on an oval foot. Stamped on the base with the Walker& Hall name. The basket is oval shaped with a fluted design all around the edge which catches the light. The interior is a beautiful gilt colour. The basket handle is fixed and the basket stands 6 inches high approx to the top of the handle. It measures 6 inches long by 4 inches wide approx. The silver plate is in beautiful condition just needs a clean up. There is one tiny dinge to the side of the foot at the very bottom- hard to detect. It appears to have some newer brass finished handles and lock bezels. There are some very unique carvings along the top spindles and on the drop down leaf. There is a key for the desk lock. But it does not appear to work the lock. The wood appears to be solid cherry. The mirror has been replaced and the shelves are glass(does not appear to be original) The rear of the cabinet seems to have been replaced and was painted. Cream or Sauce Jug by Walker& Hall dated 1903 This Antique Jug measures approximately 4 5/8 inches or 1 19 mm across from the handle to the pouring lip by 2 1/ 2 inches or 6 4 mm across the width of its body from side to side and the jug stands 3 1/ 2 inches or 8 9 mm tall to the top of the handle. The jug is made from 10 4. 6 grams of sterling silver in a delightful bulbous oval shape that has a raised relief gadroon decorated flared upper rim and pouring lip over a superb embossed or raised relief and engraved lattice. Scroll, floral and foliate decorated body, the jug has a raised relief rib decorated handle and it stands on a four circular bun shaped feet, the jug has a shaped cartouche on either side of its body that have Not been engraved with a previous owners initials or family ... moremonogram all as photographed below and the underside of its body has been impressed with the famous Sheffield silversmith and retailers marks of Walker& Hall. Antique very large silver plated basting spoon which measures approx 29cm long and 5.5cm wide at the bowl. The spoon bears the Walker and Hall mark to the rear and a logo on the front which says"Star of Japan" we are not sure what this was. Possibly a ship or hotel. Ive found a reference to" Star of Japan" ship built in 1906, however i dont know if this has any connection. The spoon is in good used condition. for sale is a very large quartersawn oak hall tree or hall bench with a mirror big enough to be called a pier mirror. it has very nice quartersawn flake throughout the entire piece. mirror is original and is beveled and shows a tiny big of silver loss and some smokiness. it has nice carvings at various places that can be seen. it has neat arms and arm supports that are very thick. Shaped, and has molding cuts. it has a large storage area under the seat. it is a very large hall tree, 88 inches tall, 16.5 inches deep, and 42 inches wide. all the carving is tight and intact, no missing pieces as far as i can tell. it is very solid and sturdy. it has not loose parts or pieces. it has a very nice contoured crest with a cut out in the center. the arm and arm supports are pegged into the hall tree. i hope the pictures are good enough to add to the ... moredescription. hall trees this size are not too plentiful and don't come up for sale often. it may be picked up at my home or shipped at buyer's expense. if shipped i would recommend an antique mover due to the large mirror and large size. good luck.

Leaves and insect. I believe that it is intended as a bone dish. It measures about 6 1/4" by about 2 3/4" It is in excellent condition with no major issues. There are some scattered tiny pits on the underside, probably in the making. It has a slight odor as is often noted with old silverplate. I have not attempted to polish it. It has a nice patina as is and I will leave any polishing question to next owner. It is marked on back side with Simpson, Hall& Miller mark(Simpson" mostly obscured) A very fine and very scarce piece. NO RESERVE. It's so old that the letters underneath an engraving on the pot of either a Hotel or Embassy or Important Building cannot be read. The same goes for the information on the bottom of the teapot. With a loupe one can see the Flag carrying the W& H letters. And underneath that is the name WALKER& HALL. A silver plated base and fluted lid and a cut crystal cylindrical box with silver plated collar. The base is stunning standing on four original bun feet and the mark for the top notch silversmith, Walker& Hall. Simpson, Hall, Miller & Co. Antique Communion Chalice Quad Plated made 1866-1898
Extremely rare! A beautiful antique Holy Communion Chalice produced by Simpson. Hall, Miller& Company in Wallingford, CT sometime between 1866 and 1898. This chalice is quadruple silverplated and has the wheat and grape cluster symbols etched on it. The bottom bears the makers mark and has the number"1344" stamped in it. The inside is gold washed/gilded. It is approximately 7-1/2" tall. 3-7/8" diameter at the cup, 3-3/8 diameter at the base and weighs 10.8 ounces. It is in very good to good condition. Beautiful cir. 1840-50 Philadelphia Pier Table attr. to John Hall. See John Hall and the Grecian Style in America book. I have the pages that correspond to this attribution: Scroll: Plate 17. Fig. 85. Plate 9 Fig. 46. For Platform design: see Plate XIV, plate 13, Fig. 72 For general info: This piece was purchased from Oak Grove in Port Gibson. MS. Rarely do you see pier tables without the marble top, especially of such fine quality and craftsmanship as this piece. See the scrolls with perfect detail and either period mirror or early replacement. The mirror does have original back piece holding it in place. Notice the back straight peg feet, indicating earlier time period as far as Hall/empire period goes. See the last picture for the starting of work done to the mahogany veneer. This was done prior to my purchase, but only a little work required ... moreto finish the job. Doesn't take away from the beauty of this piece. Dimensions: 24" wide. 38" tall.
