This hall tree was refinished by the previous owner, and they did a really nice job. They strengthened the back of the mirror with support sticks as shown in the photos, too. It is tight and sturdy, scroll front legs, lift top seat, applied carving on the base and shapely mirror top. The overall size is 36 inches wide on the outside of the arms, 29 inches wide on the inside of the arms, 17 inches deep, 18 inches high to the seat, 28 inches high to the arms and the overall height is 84 inches. Up for bid is an antique Victorian Pickle Castor made by Simpson Hall Miller& Co. It is marked on the bottom and is quadruple silver plated. The jar has no chips or flea bites. I don't see any damage to the castor other than some wear on the inside of the base. This castor has a nice intricate design and comes with the tongs. It is 33 inches tall to the back of the chair. The seat of the chair is 17 inches from the ground. The back of the chair is 14 inches wide at it's widest point. The seat itself is 17 inches wide in the front and 13 inches wide in the back. The chair is quite old and as such has some condition issues. It has 2 splits on the back that I have tried to take pictures of. One can't be seen at all from the front of the chair. In the case of this chair I would suggest that it be mostly ornamental in nature. Even if this chair were perfect it would not be made to support the average American these days. for auction is a wonderful hall tree or bench. more apt to be called a hall bench due to its size. this is a masculine piece or more fitting for a man's taste i would say. it is very heavy. Well constructed, thick, and strong. it has wonderful quartersaw oak used in its building. the hall bench is 48 inches wide, 18 inches deep, 18 inches from the floor to the top of the seat, and 78 inches tall. it is a true antique, built circa 1890-1910. it has a lift lid with three hinges and has a lot of storage space. as i said it is very well built and has no wiggles or wobbles. i think you could drag it behind a truck and it would stay together. as far as i know it is all original, has great patina with a nutmeg color to it from age and wonderful and abundant quartersawn flake in the boards. the front feet have a spider like appearance to them, ... moresomething not seen often. it has lots of molding and trim all over it as well as a nice shell crest with neat carvings on either side of it. the mirror is probably original but has been resilvered. hall trees this size are hard to come by and are usually pretty pricy. i am starting this one for what i paid years ago. it may be picked up at my home or shipped at the buyer's expense. i can help arrange shipment should that be of benefit to anyone. good luck. i can supply more pictures should anyone desire to see something in more detail.

Here it is. The storied Wendell Hall Redhead uke. This one dates to the mid-to-late 1920, when Wendell was hot stuff. This Redhead is in the best condition of the few I've seen over the years. Though it does have some issues. Concerns: neck is loose and removeable. Bottom fret gone. Three tuning pegs are original. One is not, though a good match. The rosette seam at the top closest to the neck looks like a crack; it is not. It's the rosette seam. Minor scratches and a couple of dings on the back Happy stuff: Excellent vintage shape. Looks to never have been played-no strum wear. Fretboard scuffs Decal is very good condition. beautiful rosette and ribbon mahogany body Original& untouched Assessment: I've never played this or strung it due to the loose neck. It looks solid. But I couldn't say without some repair and putting ... moretension on it. There is a line on the back. Short-2.5 inches-that looks like a crack, but it does not flex when pressed on either side, so probably a scratch. No other suspect areas that I can see. In short. This is a great looking piece of history for a uke almost 100 years old. I am selling it for decoration only due to the loose neck. Please do not buy it for a player unless you are skilled or know a luthier. The neck will need to be set correctly if you plan to play it& I am not selling it as a player. I do hope that's clear. This is a beautiful mahogany art nouveau style carved library table that has me mystified on the date. It looks like it could be from the ... more1880s. But it could aslo be from the 1920s, even though I haven’t seen anything like this from the 1920s! All I know is that it’s a fantastic, unbelievable mahogany banquet or conference table, a computer desk, or just as a large entryway table. It has amazing carving on the inside and outside of both pedestals, which are joined together with a wide mahogany shelf. It has a wide, ogee beveled edge top, and has been all refinished on top to remove the nicks and dings and to reveal the gorgeous grains of the mahogany used. The overall size is 78 inches long, 36 inches deep, and 31 inches to the top. Underneath the top, it is 29.5 inches high from the floor, the bottom shelf is 39 inches across, and 55 inches long, offering lots of room for storage. The platform legs are 2.5 inches thick. You are bidding on a stunning Victorian silver plated egg cup stand with 6 cups made by Walker& Hall of Sheffield England dating from circa 1880 or earlier. The tray has the mark used by Walker& Hall between 1861 to 1890. It measures 9 1/2" by 5 3/4" and it's 7 1/2" tall with the handle. The cups are 2 1/2" tall. There is some nice details on the rim and shell handles. Unfortunately one egg cup is missing the handle. I have the 6 six original pins for the egg cups but 2 of them are missing the locking nut. The condition is otherwise very good with no denting or repairs. There is some light wear to the plating of the tray as shown in our pictures. The spoons that came with it are by Wm. Up for auction is an antique Royal Crownford chamber pot in the fabulous. Hard-to-find Charlotte pattern. The size is 9" in diameter by 5" high. The pot has 2 small wear marks at the rim, as shown in picture 4, and crazing in a circular pattern around the pot that is difficult to photograph. There are no chips or cracks.
