The old glowing finish is probably original, it is very well preserved with warm antique patina and lots of stains, mars and shrinkage separations for character. Waxed and buffed. All that is needed to maintain its warm luster is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth. Solid brass coat and hat hooks, drawer pull and the well used umbrella drip pan are all original. A beveled mirror has a hint of"smoke" to show its age as well. The"sunburst" motif is dramatic on this American made furniture. Ornate Antique Solid Brass Coat Hat Rack Hall Tree Stand
This looked too ornate and had too much potential to be scrapped as brass. This looks to be solid brass. They don't make them like this any more. Weighs roughly 12 lbs and is roughly 73.5 inches tall(6'1.5" Some of the screws have broken off and need to be extracted. One screw remains that can be used to match new screws. Please see pictures. A great project for someone. The scrap price for brass is roughly $2 a lbs so the opening bid is set to $24 which would be the scrap price for this brass coat stand. I hope this is bought and not sent for scrap.

Absolutely stunning American Rococo style cast iron hall tree/ umbrella stand. This piece is in absolutely beautiful condition. This hall tree stands 79" tall. Measures about 28" wide, and approximately 15" deep. I believe this is likely mid 19th Century based on comparable hall trees I have researched. Very heavy, heavy piece, parts of it do come apart- mainly the coat/clothes hooks, and the top piece. There is a separate umbrella tray that comes out. The mirror rotates and is on a ball joint. Beautiful design appears to represent flowing branches, leaves, and flowers and at the top of the mirror a beautiful eagle. 1890 ANTIQUE MAHOGANY CLAW FOOT w/ LION HEADS VICTORIAN HALL TREE STAND - 7 foot
This auction is for Pick-up Only. Hall Tree is too large for me to ship. It can be picked up in North Central New Jersey or buyer may make arrangements with their own shipper for pickup. This auction is for a Late 19th Century Victorian Mahogany Hall Tree. It measures approx. 86" tall or just over 7 feet. It has a carved ball at the top. It has 5 Brass hangers on top. It is missing one hanger. It is covered with Acanthus leaf carvings at the top near hangers and again down the column. it has a tapering spiral carved section at the top of the column(see pictures) The base has has four legs with Lion heads which have open mouths and another Acanthus type leaf in front of that. Legs end in a large paw foot. The carvings on this have outstanding detail(see pictures) Finish is original and has a nice Dark Mahogany Patina(color) There are ... morea few scuffs to end of paw feet. Small chip on Acanthus carving was glued back on, and a few small chips missing to carvings here& there but nothing major. Nice large legs on this piece. Legs measure 3.5" wide. Usually you would see legs like these on an item and they would be a little loose or have an open joint but these legs are tight and very strong with no opening or play at the joint of the column. Top section does come apart with large original dowel(see picture) This will need to be reglued by buyer or buyer will need to have someone who is familiar with gluing a dowel to glue this for them. The Hall tree transports much easier with top off. A superb Antique Hall Tree with a 100 year old+ Original Finish. Item must be paid for with Paypal prior to pickup. Antique Mission Style Plant Stand or Hall Table ~ after a Roycroft piece in 1949
Description: Here is a GREAT mission style piece that came from an estate sale near Westminster VT and was made by the owner’s grandfather in 1952 or 1953. The man and his family had taken a trip in the summer of 1950 to western New York and he met a man who was either a member of the Roycroft Community or was one of the workers who was making furniture there and this table was part of a whole set of furniture that the man made over the next two years at his farm in Vermont. It was all made to go on the back porch of the home he had just built. I was told that the house burned down in the 1970s and this one table was saved because someone had needed a table outside the day before and it was forgotten outside while everything else was lost. I have come across many of these tabourets or plant stands over the years in similar patterns. The one ... morething that stood out to me was the contrasting router work around the edges of the legs. I can just imagine how handsome the rest of the set must have looked in its heyday. The taboret seems to be made of pine and has a great color and patina as you can see in my pictures. Please look at all my pictures to judge the color and condition for yourself. It is also in a slightly larger size than we see so it will have a lot more uses around the house.
