Finials ... moreare a 5/8-11 thread. I had to tap the hinge holes in my safe to except this thread. I used a 5/8-11 tap and a small crescent wrench to do this. With a little oil and a little care to make sure the tap stayed straight. There was no problem. The base of the finial were it seats on the hinge is 1& 3/16 across. The thread in the finials ended up a little off center so they look a little wobbly going on. But once on, they center up nicely and look FANTASTIC. I have two different styles. Although ring is a size 7. It should also fit a size 6.5 without significant shifting, based on this type of design.
