The trunk has the original Jensen Trunk Factory label inside the hinged lid. The trunk is made of wood, with a nice brown covering that is mainly intact, and metal reinforced seams. There is no key with it, and therefore the main lock on the front does not work. The trunk also has two latches, one on each side of the main lock, that are a unique design and work well. The trunk also has other labels on it from travel, but I am unable to make out any dates. The trunk is 12” tall, 7.5” deep, 24” long and 14.5” wide.

The piece stands 73 1/2" tall. 40 1/2" wide, and 19 1/2" deep. The piece has a fantastic flat top along with a shell carved lower drawer, cabrio legs and all four Queen Anne pad feet. We are unsure of the manufacturer as there are no markings however the top chest slides neatly into the bottom chest and has a combined total of 11 drawers. It is in overall great condition however we do believe that the hardware has been replaced as well as a possible resurface and is likely a marriage upon very close inspection but works quite well. Noted and shown there is a separation to the lower section on either side. It came to us from a prominent estate and the previous owner made sure to note that their original purchase price was $11,500. A fresh find ready to grace your space! The Chest measures approx. 22 inches long. 12 inches wide and about 11 inches tall to the peak on the hump top. The chest is very old constructed with dove tail corners. Somewhere all the road someone lined it with old wall paper. That paper is also old as there are areas where it is coming off and very worn. It would make a nice project for someone to re line the inside with different vintage paper. There are many old age cracks and repairs. There is a center narrow piece of wood at the very center of the top that has been replaced. There is some old termite damage near the bottom. Beautiful old trunk with an organizer/insert. I believe this trunk is wood with tin or another metal that has a decorative pattern. On the inside lid is a beautiful image of a woman riding a horse. It measures about 26'x15'x14' As you can see from the pictures the handles are broken/no longer there. Also one hinge has came apart. But you are still able to open and close this. I am unsure of the age. Maker and origin of this trunk. To the best of my knowledge and research, this is from the late 1800's. I am not an anique collector or dealer. Antique Wood Trunk, dome top, front doors, great storage spaces. original iron
I have had this trunk for about 15 years and it has provided great storage and looks beautiful in my living room. The iron and internal structure are in great condition and definitely original. This is a rare piece. I was not the purchaser. However, and therefore I do not have any information about its age and origin. It is definitely old and original though. I am moving house and do not have room for it. It's heavy, probably more than 200 lbs and very solidly built. Anyone who can provide further information please help. I know it cost a lot more than this listed price.

Wood tray for antique steamer trunk. Tray measures 29 1/2" long. 15 5/8"wide, and 5 1/2" deep. It originally sat on wood side supports built into the trunk. Tray has small metal brackets on each end with a divider down the center. This came out of an old roll-top or camel-back trunk, but would fit a flat-top trunk as well. There is a sliver of wood missing from the center divider as shown in the first picture. This would be best as a free pick-up, but will deliver this to a shipper in Elizabethtown, Ky, if you pay for packing and shipping. Trunk, 32"x19"x16", Wood with Metal Trim, Golden Studs and Brass Hardware
This beautiful trunk is made from thick plywood and is very heavy. About 40 pounds. It has numerous brass tacks on the surface and along the metal strips, and hinges which have been painted gold. The interior has also been painted- beige. There is an insert(not the original) available to the buyer if he/she wants it(if not, I'll lower the cost of shipping a tad) See the photos- it is obvious that it is too small for this large trunk. The lid opens and closes easily and remains open, in spite of evidence on the right side that a hinge may be missing. The brass clamps in the front work fine to keep it securely closed. There is no lock. The leather straps on the sides are in good condition, useful, and give authenticity to its antique status. Quite a unique trunk with a few quirks.
