It is made of warm cream silk damask. And is exquisitely hand embroidered in silks and gold wire thread. At the ends of the stole there is a very long fine silk hand-knotted fringe in toning colours. The stole is in good used condition and could certainly be used today without a problem. The only issue I would draw your attention to is some very slight wear to the silk at some areas of the edge of the stole. And a faint mark on the silk to the right of the little cross at the back of the neck. The stole appears to have been re-lined-as this is in very good condition- in gold ... moresilk. Up for sale today we have this beautiful vestment stole made by The Holy Rood Guild Company in Spencer. Mass. They have their own website if you would like to look at some of their items and the prices. Let me assure you that they do not have anything quite as affordable for sale. The first photo of the stone on the hanger was taken inside so we don't feel you can appreciate the fully glory of the colors. The second photo was taken outside under natural light as was the close up of the pattern in the 5th photo. The stole is a shade of orangish-red(if you call it red someone will call it orange and visa versa, you know how that goes and that is why we have shown you pictures taken inside and outside) with a black backing and tassles the color of gold, black and a burnt orange. The workmanship is fantastic, look at the gold pattern of crosses ... moreon the front. The stole is larger and best for a taller person since it measures 4 1/2" across and from the top of the fold to the start of the fringe is 55" so total lenth is over 100" No condition issues, no odors, no tears, no rips. We sent a photo to a close friend of ours who is employed by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Miami and his response was that while it was probably made with a high church Episcopalian in mind there are many instances in which it could be worn by a Roman Catholic priest. This stole has no stains or spills and is clean except it is heavily soiled around the collar and I think my last picture shows that. I don't attempt to clean any of these but would think a tooth brush with soap and water should do it. It measures 46" from top to bottom and is 4 1/2" wide at the bottom and 2 1/2" at the top. Vintage Clergy Stole, Vestment Cream color with gold mettalic flecks and fringe
This is an exceptionally clean vintage stole with no stains or spills and is a cream color with gold flecks all over it. I don't know why digital cameras do not show glitter. But they don't. If you look closely at the photos, I did capture a few. I think it is polyester and has a silk lining. It is also a long one measuring 57" long and 6" wide at the bottom and 4" at the top. Vintage Clergy Stole, Vestment very nice cream with green red and gold metalic
This stole is absolutely beautiful and in super condition. It has no spills or stains and seems to have never been worn. As the label will show. It was made by the Contemplative Sisters of the Good Sheppard and is of very good quality. The metallic glistens much more than my Nikon will show. It is a larger stole and has a length of 60" and 5 1/2" wide. The collar depth front to back is 9" and it weighs only 9oz. Thank you for looking.

Vintage Clergy Stole, Vestment nice gold metalic green band jeweled Biocesan
This is another very nice stole that is in great condition with the exception of one small stain that I have pictured. It is not even noticeable when the garment is in the light as it is hidden in all the glitter. One other thing is a jewel missing on the top of the amber cluster in the green band. It too is hardly noticeable and I have it pictured as well. It measures from top to bottom 40" and at the bottom measures 5" wide and the top is 3" It has a label marked BIOCESAN ALTAR GUILD. Vintage Clergy Vestment Stole red with blue gold band and fringe
This is a very nice and clean vintage stole except for one small stain that looks like candle wax that I have pictured in the last photo. It is located near the bottom of the picture on the right side and not real noticeable. This is a narrow stole measuring only 2 1/4" wide and is 47" long from top to bottom of the fringe. All monitors are set a little different and mine shows this stole as being a little more on the cherry red color. It is not quite that color and the last photo shows on mine to be the true color. It has a little more burgundy in it that tones it down. Thank you for looking.

This is a vintage stole that has no spills. Dirt or stains and looks like new. I don't know if this is hand stitching or machine but it is a beauty and I can only find one stich that is loose.
