Onofri of Yonkers New York. Ecclesiastical tailors who were well known tailors of religious garments. This is a superbly crafted garment unlike ready made ones of today. The torso and sleeves are fully lined. There is a row of wooden buttons down the front. There may be 1 or 2 missing ... moreat the bottom, but there is an extra button in the pocket. The buttons are on a placket that conceals a full length zipper so no need to deal with buttoning up those many buttons. There is a snap covered by a button at the top. The collar is padded as are the shoulders. There is an inside breast pocket. Concealed pockets are combined with a slit so that you may put something in the pocket of the vestment or be able to reach your pants pockets. The bottom hem is reinforced on the reverse side with a fringed trim so that the fringe hits the floor and not the bottom of the hem. This also weights the hem down. Some of the buttons on the front appear to have been replaced as although the fronts look the same, the backs are different. Overall nice condition on this vintage cassock. Please check the following measurements which are approximate as there is no size on the garment itself: Collar: 16 1/2" Sleeve: 24 1/2" from Shoulder Seam to Cuff Edge Chest: 44" measured around Chest to Back Under Arm Shoulder: 19" from Shoulder Seam to Shoulder Seam Length: 55" from Collar Seam to Bottom Hem Suggested uses are Traditional Latin Mass. But from the way it fits me it would be a large. 60" long down the back Sleeve length from the shoulder is 25"with a 9" angled cuff. 21" across the waist 23" armpit to armpit Has two 9 1/2" open arm slits in the side seams Nice large pleat from the waist down in the back. Closes with a partial wrap around. Closes at the neck with velcro. Closes in the front with 2 velcro closures. There are 2 small holes in the chest area(cigarette burns? but both are hidden when the front flap is closed. Fabric in the neck area is worn some. Armpits are some faded.
