Vintage Bentley& Simon gown. This piece is in good condition. I have shown in last picture that the velvet that runs down each side.the bottom on one of the ends stitching has come loose. It just needs to be stiched back into place. Some areas around cuffs etc. just show slight wear from the age of the robe. Great gown. Starting it at much lower than other have on here. Initials are on label. Size one size fits most, very generous. I tried this on with a jacket under and it was still roomy.and I am not a small person. This stole has no stains or spills and is clean except it is heavily soiled around the collar and I think my last picture shows that. This is a very nice and clean vintage stole except for one small stain that looks like candle wax that I have pictured in the last photo. It is located near the bottom of the picture on the right side and not real noticeable. This is a narrow stole measuring only 2 1/4" wide and is 47" long from top to bottom of the fringe. All monitors are set a little different and mine shows this stole as being a little more on the cherry red color. It is not quite that color and the last photo shows on mine to be the true color. This is a very unusual and very pretty cross stitch stole. I'm thinking it might be worn during marriage ceremonies because of the images of a man and woman on the stole. But I'm not sure. The tassels hang from beaded strings. The back of the stole is a solid green which looks like cotton or a poly blend. The colors are very vibrant. There is some slight staining on the tassel on the neck and there's one tassel missing on the bottom. Other than those two things. These are very nice and clean vintage stoles with no spills or stains. The collar areas are all clean and look as if they have seldom been worn. If at all. My reference for the measurements, if you need them, will be starting from left to right the white one being#1. 1 white measures from top to bottom 50" and is 4" wide until it gets to the collar and it is 2"wide. It is very clean and has the same material for the lining. 2 is something of an olive green with a gold cross and measures from top to bottom 51" and is 4" wide at the bottom and 3" at the top. Also very clean with a silk lining. 3 is red with black felt bands and black fringe. It measures from top to bottom 44" and is 3 1/4" wide all the way. It has a Roman square cut neckline and two bands of lace around each sleeve and bottom hem. Above the two beads of lace on the bottom hem are three embroidered crossed on the front and back as can be seen in the third photo. The size of this surplice is comparable to XL. The measurements are approximately. 42" from shoulder to hemline and 23" from shoulder seam to cuff. There are a total of 12 pleats; 6 on the front and 6 on the back. This is the most beautiful set I have listed. In my opinion, and is in very good condition for being what seems to be very old. The sale includes all seen in the photo's, the stole, the veil and maniple. They show signs of some wear but all are very clean and have no spills or stain on them that I can find. The felt appliques seem to sag from years of hanging possibly. This set has a lot of sparkle left in it and glitters more than my pictures may show and have the same beautiful silk lining. I am trying very hard not to call this a set but I really don't think it is. Although. Each piece has the exact same pattern, design and shade of color. All the gold appliques are the same shade of gold and I think pertain. Two of the pieces have a red silk lining and the other two have gold silk. Antique Gold Roman Chasuble Fiddleback Vestment for Catholic Priest, Clergy
Gold Colored Roman Chasuble/Fiddleback Vestment for Low Mass This beautiful Chasuble is in very good antique condition. It has been recently refurbished and can once again be employed for Divine Worship. This particular vestment was originally made in France and is very substantial and heavy. Although I am not certain of the material. It reminds me of cloth of gold and feels almost metallic. The Chasuble. Maniple, and stole have been completely relined with red satin fabric. There are no rips or tears in the shell of the chasuble although there is some faint spots of mild discoloration. The chalice veil and burse were constructed from a dalmatic that was beyond repair, which is why there is a unique pattern formed with the galloons. I should note that the burse cannot be opened. All pains have been taken to salvage the beautiful lamb on the ... moreback of the vestment. Some of the metal parts of the lamb's legs were lost to time and have been replaced with thread. New longer strings were added to the inside front of the chasuble that help to secure the vestment to the waist of the priest. This set includes: Chasuble. Stole, Maniple, Burse, Chalice Veil. The dimensions of the chasuble is approximately: Back: 39" from shoulder to hem; 25" across. Front: 34.5" from shoulder to hem; 22" across at widest point. Please note this is an antique vestment that I believe is close to 100 years old. There will be signs of aging; yet despite its age. It has held up quite nicely. If you should have any questions. Antique Green Chasuble and Stole for Catholic Priest, Clergy Vestment for Mass
Beautiful Antique Green Chasuble and Stole for Mass This is an antique green chasuble and stole set for the celebration of the Mass. It is in good condition with very little wear. The material is of a kelly green that is much more Roman than the darker forest green color that is often produced today. The back is embroidered with a cross that is composed of flowers with the iconic IHS in the center. The front is a simple pillar composed in the same theme as the back. There are two strings that are used to secure the vestment around the waist of the priest. The matching stole is in very good condition and its adorned with metallic fringe on the bottom. It has a sewn cloth around the neck to absorb any sweat that may damage the material. The only sign of age and wear is found on the front between the embroidered part of the vestment. The cloth ... moreis slightly distressed and is beginning to fray. This can be seen in the photos 6& 7 provided above. Aside from this. The lining is in excellent condition for its age.
