Purple Violet Chasuble and Stole Priest Vestment
Up for auction is a stunning violet/purple chasuble and matching stole. I'm not quite sure of the age of this vestment. It is clean and in very good condition. With the exception of some fraying on the shoulders(see pictures) where the lining shows through. This could easily be repaired by a seamstress. The vestment is very light-weight. Measurements are approximate. It measures approximately 38.5 inches from the neck to the bottom in the front, and about 40 or so inches from the neck to the bottom in the back. The chasuble is in the traditional gothic style, so it is meant to be a bit smaller than the typical monastic chasubles that are common today. Overall, while the vestment needs a bit of TLC, it is a very good find.

Dark Purple Handmade Chasuble w Matching Stole
This is a handmade lightweight chasuble with a matching stole. It appears to be a lightweight polyester. There are no fabric tags. It has a rolled collar and a type of squared off sleeve. It is a dark purple(very nice color) although the one picture shows it looking like blue. The pictures were taken with my IPhone but the lighting in my apartment is not the greatest. The visible trim stitching appears to be in a lilac color. Stitching is around the fabri wrists bands and at the bottom. Length to floor is approximately 69 inches from top of shoulder to bottom of hem. There are no visible stains, holes, or tears.

Roman Purple Holy Rood Guild Priest Chasuble and Stole
A perfect find for Lent! Up for auction is a Holy Rood Guild Roman purple priest chasuble and stole with decorative tapestry around the neck. The Holy Rood Guild in Spencer. MA, is known for the beauty, quality and longevity of their vestments. A comparable chasuble and stole set today would sell for close to $500 and most of their designs are over $1000. This particular chasuble and stole are older and are gently used, although it is clean and without stains or other markings. There is a zipper at the neck(see photo) which keeps the chasuble well fitted. Pease note that the stitching holding the tapestry in place is coming undone on the right shoulder and in a few other places(see photos) Thankfully, it has not caused damage to the vestment and could easily be re-sewn. In fact, I believe that the owner could decide to remove the tapestry ... moreentirely without causing damage to the vestment, if desired. Some of the hem on the back of the vestment is slightly undone, but again, could easily be fixed. The chasuble is unlined, while the stole is lined. Measurements are approximate: about 80" wide when spread out, about 48" from the neck to the bottom in the front and about 52" from the neck to the bottom in the back. This is a Violet/Purple Chasuble with Stole and Maniple. It is made of Violet Faux Silk Taffeta(which causes the fabric to appear light blue/gray to some people in photographs but I assure you it is Violet/Purple) It is lined in Pink Satin. It was made it about 2 1/2 years ago on commission by a Benedictine Oblate.
