It is in good condition ... morewith very little wear. The material is of a kelly green that is much more Roman than the darker forest green color that is often produced today. The back is embroidered with a cross that is composed of flowers with the iconic IHS in the center. The front is a simple pillar composed in the same theme as the back. There are two strings that are used to secure the vestment around the waist of the priest. The matching stole is in very good condition and its adorned with metallic fringe on the bottom. It has a sewn cloth around the neck to absorb any sweat that may damage the material. The only sign of age and wear is found on the front between the embroidered part of the vestment. The cloth is slightly distressed and is beginning to fray. This can be seen in the photos 6& 7 provided above. Aside from this. The lining is in excellent condition for its age. Unfortunately, there are no other matching pieces available. This set is for the chasuble and stole only. If you should have any questions. Please contact me before bidding. I would be happy to send additional photos upon request. This item is being sold"as-is/ used" antique condition. This is a Vintage 6 piece vestment set which was once used in a Catholic Church. It consists of a chasuble.Dalmatic,cope,humeral veil,stole, and chalice veil. It was made by the Maryknoll nuns in Kyoto Japan. The chasuble is 43 inches long from the neckdown, the dalmatic is 45 inches from the neck down and the cope is 57 inches long.The pieces are made from cream silk with beautiful gold brocade trim. The lining of the cope and chasuble needs to be repaired and there is wear around the neck. The chasuble has fraying around the neckline and shows wear. The gold brocade trim needs to be restiched in places. The set needs to be cleaned. The set is being sold as is. The fabric and trim are in good condition considering its age. Vintage Purple And Blue Monastic Chasuble & Stole - C.M. Almy
Purple vintage monastic woven priest's chasuble and stole set. It has a blue monastic collar and cross on front. The stole is a matching purple with blue trim near the bottom and blue cross at the neck with white lace trim on the neck. The tag reads. C.M. Almy& Sons, Rye, New York" It has an additional memorial tag. The chasuble is 52 inches long and over 60 inches wide with ample room. The stole is 56 inches long from cross at neck to the bottom and 4 inches wide. The set is in good vintage condition. We recommend all pre-owned vestments be professionally cleaned. With no damage but it will benefit from a clean as it is a little grubby in places. It has a zip opening at the neck. The manufacturer was F.D. Monna of Toulouse. Who were renowned for their religious statues. The firm was opened by Francois Dominique Monna(1849-1907) in 1873, principally for the manufacture of statues but the company went on to manufacture many religious items, including vestments. The chasuble dates to the second quarter of the 20th century. Some of the embroidery on the ear of wheat and the stitching around the neck of the chasuble has been done by hand. It measures 42" long. Difficult to date precisely. But I would guess 1940s or 50s. The piece is made of black rayon moire and lined in purple rayon acetate. The garment is crossed at both the front and back with purple velvet. The back has a printed image of Jesus wearing a crown of thorns- I believe that this chasuble would have been used for Good Friday service. Black and purple are colors typically used during Lent, but black was also used on All Souls Day and at funerals. The image of Jesus is quite beautiful, edged with metallic gold ... morerickrack and accented with gold and satin roping. It is in very good condition with the exception of some yellowish discoloration to the velvet, mostly to the top and bottom and at seam joints. Otherwise, it is in very good condition and looks great. It measures 55 across the top from the end of one sleeve, over the shoulders, and to the end of the other sleeve. It has a length of 47 and weighs 1 lb and 4 oz. this is a gorgeous colored catholic vestment. Deep salmon color with red ribbon and gold embroidery. There are two small flaws +please see photos+ the first is 2 small holes on top piece of fabric.But hardly noticeable because lining piece is intact. The second is some smudge marks on lower back near hem(I think these can be washed out but I didn't want to mess with it) garment measures 43" inches from back if neck to lower hem and is made from a rayon/ poly material with a sheen. This garment was previously worn and used by a world traveled priest who originated from Vietnam. This is a beautiful vintage monastic style purple and blue chasuble and stole set by C.M. Almy. The chasuble is purple color with a full blue monastic rolled collar and a large. Blue St. George's cross on the front. The chasuble has a maker's tag which reads,C.M. Almy& Sons, Rye, New York Made in U.S.A. The stole is a matching purple with a blue cross on the neck and a white lace neck protector sewn on. Each end panel has a matching 3 inch blue stripe. The stole is mitered and contoured at the neck for proper fit. There is a little light sweat staining on the white neck protector. Otherwise the chasuble and stole are in very good. Ready to wear condition. The chasuble is 46 inches long in front and 52 inches long in back and with ample width. Vintage Custom Made Redwork Chasuble Vestment with Stole "In Memory Of" Catholic
This item is from a local church that closed down. It has been recently dry cleaned and is ready for immediate use! Please see my other listings for more items from this closure. This Chasuble with matching stole is white with a beautiful redwork type accent. I have shown both the front and the back. As you can see. The redwork is on both sides. The only tag on this garment reads"In Memory Of" What a wonderful way to remember a loved one during church services! The chasuble measures 40 inches along the entire length of the redwork from neck to hem. The accent is 4 1/4 inches wide. It is in very good vintage condition. The only issue I noticed is a tiny black spot about the size of the tip of a ball point pen. The matching stole measures approximately 98 inches in total length. It measures 4 inches wide.
