Width 53 inches across front length 39 and 1/2 inches from center oval neck opening to bottom of hem. Back length 43 inches from center of oval neck opening to bottom of hem. Lightweight for comfortable wear. Front Hand embroidered applique of sunrise in shades of gold and yellow on mauve velvet trimmed with multicolor orphrey material outlined in pink embroidery. Estate Catholic Priest Stole- Lavender and White- Fine Embroidered Gold Crosses
I purchased this at the estate sale of an elderly priest. He had been in Rome for a few years and I purchased a few items he had from there including a couple of beautiful rosaries. This stole is a light ivory white on one side and a beautiful lavender purple on the other. It looks more blue in my photos and I don't know why: It is purple. Not blue. The crosses are stitched on with great care- on both sides(the purple and the ivory side) with golden thread which matches the gold trim. The entire stole is about 72 inches in length.
