Here is a pretty vintage or antique cut glass cruet jug. It has a honeycomb or Georgian type pattern. The neck has cut panels with notched ridges. The spout is fluted and the stopper has a cut facet pattern. The bottom has been cut flat and ground and has a cut star pattern. Thee is some tiny chipping at the base of the stopper and some roughness at the very top point. There is a tiny nick on the outer edge of one of the side spouts. There is a couple quite minor scratches. Overall it looks quite clean. It stands about 4" tall to the spout and about 5 1/2" with the stopper. Shipping is available Monday-Friday. Antique Vintage Iridescent Brown Glass Jar Jug Vase Art Deco Style
You are bidding on a unique vintage glass jar/jug/vase container. I bought it at an estate sale and could not determine much information about this item from my research(I could not find a marker's mark) It looks art deco to me and I would guess there was originally a cap to this as you look at the lip along the top. I have not cleaned it. It is a heavy piece. Weights about 3.5 pounds, is 10' tall, 6.75' wide, and the neck is 2 7/8' wide. There are seam marks and as you view the jug from the side you see it caves in on one side more than the other. I can only assume this happened during manufacturing, not sure if it is considered a flaw or not. It is in very nice pre-owned vintage condition, no chips, cracks, or repairs. There are some scratches in the applied brown iridescent finish where the clear glass shows through. They ... moreare minimal and random. The bottom has a diamond shaped base but the neck is square. It has a metal handle for carrying or hanging. This is very heavy and makes a beautiful rustic vase which would be lovely hanging in your trees this summer or on your table. Also handsome storage for your large paint brushes or other craft supplies. 5 1\2 inches wide x 11 inches high. This is used with some scuffing from being loaded in and out of bottle baskets over the years. Inside is a little dirty. The handle has some rust. Beautiful to look at and heavy.
