Up for auction is this lovely Art Nouveau Jug or Decanter. The item is old and has been used. It is in perfect working order. But would not be suitable for hot liquids. The glass has been blown very fine. The glass is in perfect condition. The silver plated handle. Collar, and lid are in good condition with no dents or cracks but the plating has lost it's shine. No other problems. Measures 22.5cm high and 13cm wide. I will post worldwide. I will be away from 4th February to 7th February. But will answer questions as soon as I return. This is a great old hand blown glass pitcher with a pontil on the base. The sides are etched with a nice design. The handle is hand applied. The stopper has a couple of chips. There are no chips or cracks in the pitcher. The neck of this piece is stone ground for a tight fitting stopper fit.

This is a stunning cut glass. Single handled jug. It is approximately 10" tall without the stopper, 12" tall with the stopper and 4" wide. Here is an old green glass bottle with spout and applied handle. It appears to have a pontil on the bottom and air bubbles throughout the body. It is unmarked so I am not sure how old it really is and who the maker was. The bottle is in excellent condition and measures about 11" tall. Late 19th century jug displays delightful etching of fern and wild green foliage on sides with deeply cut star burst at the bottom. Elegant figural handle attached to wide silver collar. Which embellished with etched wreath of leafs and flowers. It has nicely decorated and lovely shaped spout and finally urn shaped finial crowns the lid. The jug stands 11 1/4" 28.5 cm) high to the top of the finial, 10" 25 cm) to the top of the silver collar; 4 3/8" 11 cm) in diameter at the bottom. STUNNING HAND ETCHED GERMAN SYRUP JUG DECANTER W STERLING TOP& HANDLE SIGNED WELCOME. What an incredible piece this is and I cant even begin to guess its age. Obviously comes from a very stately home. This probably hand blown and hand etched jug or decanter is exquisitely hand etched with baskets of flowers on both sides of the piece. It has a beautiful decorative lid. Top and handle, all of which appear to be sterling. It is marked Germany and Sterling. I think it was probably used for syrup. The top of the bottle has been carefully cut away to accomodate the pouring section of the silver top. The workmanship on this piece is amazing as you can no doubt see in the pics provided. It stands just under 6 1/2" tall. That includes the top finial of the lid. The base measures just under 5 1/2" length wise and 3 1/4" deep. There ... moreis a modest reserve on this piece. There is a streak of white running down from the top inside of the bottle. And I think this must come from the material that was used to keep the top in place. I have not tried to wash it out and neither have I cleaned the silver. I would image it will be quite dazzling once its cleaned up. Buyer to pay shipping costs. Thanks for visiting us today.
