The outside has a soft satin finish and the inside is gloss. The rim is corset shaped. Pinched in the middle and has gold gilt applied handle. The body is decorated with red glass cabachon jewels within heavy raised gold enamel. No missing jewels. It has a gilded mark on the base which looks like initials. No chips, dings or nicks. Antique Uranium Opaline Glass Large Pitcher Basin Bowl Set Free Shipping No Rsrv
Opaline glass was made originally in Bohemia. France and England. This set used green glass which had uranium salts in the formulation resulting in its fluorescing very strongly yellow-green under UV(or black) light. The pitcher stands 9 1/2" to the top of the handle while the bowl has a 14" diameter. Both have ground and polished pontils. The 5th and 6th pictures show how the bottom and top of the handle are attached. That style was common until about 1875. Condition is excellent, the only wear being very light scratches to the interior bottom from the pitcher being placed in it and minor shelf wear to the bottoms of both pieces. There are no chips, cracks, dings, stains, sickness or repairs and the set displays beautifully. I have not been able to figure out exactly what this is. Jar. Jug, pitcher? I just know it is quite unusual. In all my prevalent antiquing I have not seen another like this. Perhaps the spout is to prevent ice from going into a cup? It has very thick glass and a spout that looks sawed off but was definitely made to be that way. I t is heavy for its size: 5.75 inches tall. 3 inches wide on bottom. And 5.5 inches wide between spout and handle. There are markings on the bottom of the jug: a"W" with a# 11" underneath it(see photo) The condition is perfect; no cracks. Chips, marks- nothing. Very interesting to look at from all angles. Antique Nouveau Silver plated Glass Pitcher Jug Decanter
Up for auction is this lovely Art Nouveau Jug or Decanter. The item is old and has been used. It is in perfect working order. But would not be suitable for hot liquids. The glass has been blown very fine. The glass is in perfect condition. The silver plated handle. Collar, and lid are in good condition with no dents or cracks but the plating has lost it's shine. Beautiful Antique Blue White Mary Gregory Enamel Painted Glass Jug Pitcher Vase

This beautiful jug is in good condition for its age with no chips, but does have one small crack to the top of the handle as can be seen in the photo below. This small imperfection is smaller than a pinky fingernail, and does not go to the edges- so in my opinion will not develop any further with fair use. Here we have an exceptionally nice. 1880's era ~ CUT GLASS& REPOUSSE SILVERPLATE WINE CLARET JUG ~. It is absolutely beautiful, fine quality cut glass and there are no chips or cracks" which is quite amazing for being well over 100 years old" The lid and spout is exceptionally fancy as well. The hinge on the lid is going to need a little repair. The one loop is broken and will need one soldered one to secure the lid. The bottom portion of the hinge is in good condition with no damage. This is certainly the nicest example that we have ever had the opportunity to offer for auction. WMF Amber Cut to Clear Wine or Lemonade Pitcher Glass Insert Egermann Style
This auction is for a beautiful wine pitcher or lemonade pitcher in an amber cut to clear with nice engraving in a grape or vintage pattern. The style is similar to Egermann but this piece is probably from WMF or Wurttembergische Metallwarenfabrik. We believe there is a partial mark of the simple WMF in a small rectangle. We have tried to get a picture but it is not helpful. The pitcher is wonderful measuring 11 3/4 inches tall and weighing more than 7 pounds. The glass insert is in great condition with the original bail for lifting it from the pitcher. We are not sure what is the metal content of the silver top and handle. It would appear to be a type of silverplate. The WMF made an especially fine plated metal but we cannot be sure if this is WMF. There is light wear and tarnish to the silver metal. You are viewing a wonderful antique deep cranberry glass lemonade or water pitcher. From the style and the way it was made. I would estimate it was made some time in the second half of the 19th century in the reign of Queen Victoria. I believe it is an English jug, although it may also be American in origin. It is entirely hand-made, blown glass. The style is almost Aesthetic Movement and the shape reminds me of a Dr. Christopher Dresser design. This lovely jug stands approximately 19 centimeters tall. The pontil mark on the underside has been ground and polished leaving a nice recessed area. The jug is in good condition with no cracks or chips. Minor scratching especially on the underside rim Minor calcium deposits on the interior of the jug. Shipping will $24 internationally from Paris France. Offering this very pretty syrup jug/pitcher in varying shades of pink displaying a beautifully multicolored embossed swirling design of flowers and leaves tinged with gold that appears hand painted. The ornate metal may be pewter. However, an attempt at buffing appears on the lid resulting in a brighter silver area. From tip of finial to base the height is approx. 6" and from spout to handle 5" Overall, it has been well preserved through the years with a minor imperfection noted, the rim of the lid has a dent, unseen when closed. Otherwise, I would guess that it has been displayed only as the interior, white in color, has no indication of use. For the collector of such antiques it's a desirable addition and I appreciate your interest.
