Opaline glass was made originally in Bohemia. France and England. This set used green glass which had uranium salts in the formulation resulting in its fluorescing very strongly yellow-green under UV(or black) light. The pitcher stands 9 1/2" to the top of the handle while the bowl has a 14" diameter. Both have ground and polished pontils. The 5th and 6th pictures show how the bottom and top of the handle are attached. That style was common until about 1875. Condition is excellent, the only wear being very light scratches to the interior bottom from the pitcher being placed in it and minor shelf wear to the bottoms of both pieces. There are no chips, cracks, dings, stains, sickness or repairs and the set displays beautifully. Pair of Antique Enamel Bubble Glass Ewers With Hallmarked Silver Handle & Foot
Up for sale is this antique pair of stunning silver mounted ewers. The pitcher is a frosted glass with waves and is a hand painted heavy enamel floral pattern with gold stems. The foot. Handle and spout are an elaborate silver design that is hallmarked on the handle VRS. On the front of the silver neck there is a bearded man. I am not sure of the silver content but it is beautiful Each weigh 2.9 lbs. They come from a wealthy Conn estate and were well taken care of and are in excellent condition. Thanks for looking!

ANTIQUE GLASS MILK JUG. PITCHER, JAR w/ SPOUT& HANDLE. Mystery Bottle: Marked W11 FOR AUCTION: Antique clear glass milk jug/ pitcher with spout and handle. I have not been able to figure out exactly what this is. Jar. Jug, pitcher? I just know it is quite unusual. In all my prevalent antiquing I have not seen another like this. Perhaps the spout is to prevent ice from going into a cup? It has very thick glass and a spout that looks sawed off but was definitely made to be that way. I t is heavy for its size: 5.75 inches tall. 3 inches wide on bottom. And 5.5 inches wide between spout and handle. There are markings on the bottom of the jug: a"W" with a# 11" underneath it(see photo) The condition is perfect; no cracks. Chips, marks- nothing. Very interesting to look at from all angles. Probably between 1910 and 1931. This is about the best I can get of the mark on the bottom. The bottom has wrinkles on the side and both the triangle and the number appear to be from a worn mold. I believe it is a T in an inverted triangle and probably 652 on the bottom could be an 052. T in an inverted triangle.Turner Bros. Glass Company. Up for auction is this lovely Art Nouveau Jug or Decanter. The item is old and has been used. It is in perfect working order. But would not be suitable for hot liquids. The glass has been blown very fine. The glass is in perfect condition. The silver plated handle. Collar, and lid are in good condition with no dents or cracks but the plating has lost it's shine. ANTIQUE HAND BLOWN ETCHED GLASS PITCHER JUG SYRUP DECANTER APPLIED HANDLE
This is a great old hand blown glass pitcher with a pontil on the base. The sides are etched with a nice design. The handle is hand applied. The stopper has a couple of chips. There are no chips or cracks in the pitcher. The neck of this piece is stone ground for a tight fitting stopper fit.

This beautiful jug is in good condition for its age with no chips, but does have one small crack to the top of the handle as can be seen in the photo below. This small imperfection is smaller than a pinky fingernail, and does not go to the edges- so in my opinion will not develop any further with fair use. Aside from this small imperfection, the jug is absolutely stunning. The colour of the glass in itself is breathtaking, and the enamelled painting depicting a child on a swing is just lovely.
