White Priest Chasuble/ Stole/Chalice Veil/Burse Vestment (015)
This Vintage White Chasuble and Stole have some wear showing but are still in usable shape. The Battenburg Rose design in the white material looks very nice with a single band of burgundy velvet which is outlined with gold trim down the front(a very small spot near the band looks as though the burgundy bled some color) There is a slight reddish stain near the bottom left of the chasuble as well. Neither of these are very noticeable. There is a burgundy velvet Y band outlined with gold trim on the back of the chasuble. The applique on the back Y band has a 10 inch heighth and 8 inch width. And gold threads embroidered the I H S on burgundy velvet in the center of the applique, the gold crown on the applique is studded with mullti colored beads and hand embroidered background. The chasuble is 45 inches long in the back and 41 inches in the ... morefront and fully lined in gold satin material(there is some minor discoloration on the lining, not sure what it's from) A 12 inch neck opening is outlined with a double burgundy velvet and gold trim. The chasuble is 57 inches wide. The matching fully lined stole is 98 inches long plus a three inch white fringe at each end. There are four velvet bands on each side of the stole outlined with gold trim, the lower bands are 3 and 3/4 inch wide the one at the top of each side is 3 and 1/2 inches. The Chalice Veil is 23 and 1/2 inches by 24 inches, it has a few water/wine? stains which are not particularly noticeable. The veil is fully lined in the same gold material as the stole and chasuble and outlined with gold and white cording with detailed knots at the corners. The veil has a 4 inch padded gold cross applique with a red glass/plastic bead in the center. The Burse is a 9 inch square with the same 4 inch gold padded cross applique and the red bead, and the gold and white cording around the edges. These items were hand crafted with great care. The age of these items is unknown but the parish was over 100 years old when it closed in 2011, most probably from the late1960's or

FATIGUED FRENCH FINDS http:www.facebook.com/vintagefrenchtwt This is a vintage French chasuble decorated with an ear of wheat on both back and front. It is in lovely vintage condition. With no damage but it will benefit from a clean as it is a little grubby in places. It has a zip opening at the neck. The manufacturer was F.D. Monna of Toulouse. Who were renowned for their religious statues. The firm was opened by Francois Dominique Monna(1849-1907) in 1873, principally for the manufacture of statues but the company went on to manufacture many religious items, including vestments. The chasuble dates to the second quarter of the 20th century. Some of the embroidery on the ear of wheat and the stitching around the neck of the chasuble has been done by hand. It measures 42" long. Purple Violet Chasuble and Stole Priest Vestment
Up for auction is a stunning violet/purple chasuble and matching stole. I'm not quite sure of the age of this vestment. It is clean and in very good condition. With the exception of some fraying on the shoulders(see pictures) where the lining shows through. This could easily be repaired by a seamstress. The vestment is very light-weight. Measurements are approximate. It measures approximately 38.5 inches from the neck to the bottom in the front, and about 40 or so inches from the neck to the bottom in the back. The chasuble is in the traditional gothic style, so it is meant to be a bit smaller than the typical monastic chasubles that are common today. Overall, while the vestment needs a bit of TLC, it is a very good find.
