This is a canal scene featuring water. A man in a boat, bull rushes, a country manor, storage or silo bin, windmill, birds, trees and another building in the distance. All handpainted in pretty colors of red. Green, yellow, blue and black. Reverse side is marked: DELFT ~ HANDPAINTED ~ MADE IN HOLLAND ~ 5-POINTED CROWN MARK.I can't be certain if this is in blue or green. The other markings are pressed ... morein.one is the letter"G" with a laurel leaf wreath surrounding it and the other is numbers 222432 and a series of raised dots. Someone in the distant past has put glue and what appears to be a piece of cloth with a little metal hanger on the back! I don't believe this has to necessarily stay in its gold-colored twisted frame and believe it would make a beautiful tile on it own as a centerpiece for a tile mural. There is one tiny chip on the front on the bottom edge just left of center and another on the back side just left of the right-hand corner. This one is not visible from the front. FOUR HANDPAINTED POLYCHROME HARLINGEN. HOLLAND DELFT TILES These are four beautiful handpainted Delft tiles that were originally part of a fireplace in an older Cape Cod home. The adhesive used to secure the tiles to the fireplace is still on the backs of the tiles- it is visible in the pictures and we have not attempted to remove the adhesive. On the backs of two of the tiles we are able to see HARLINGEN HOLLAND along with the company logo impressed into the tile. Because of the adhesive we are not able to see the backs of the other two tiles. However. They all came from the same fireplace and appear to be similar in design. The colors are blues, greens, yellows, tans, and browns. Approximate size 5 1/16 x 5 1/16. The tiles are in good condition for their age. As you can see in picture 3 there is a piece of the edge chipped off. There is, ... morealso, some chaulking around the edges of the tiles. VTG Belgium Delft Blue Tile Dimensions 4 3/4 X 4 3/4 inches For your consideration we offer a pair of original Belgium Delft blue tiles from the late forties. It was manufactured possibly by the factory of George Gilliot in Hemiksen/ Antwerp. Belgium, but decorated by hand in Holland. The factory was founded in 1897 by George Gilliot in Hemiksem. As floor and wall tile factory, with John Salt, a ceramic specialist trained at Sèvres, as technical director. At the turn of the 20th century, the firm saw rapid expansion with a working force reaching nine hundred personnel in 1913. The last tiles were produced there in 1978 and the company was closed down by Sphinx Maastricht in 1985( the information is taken from the website of the British Museum in London) Nicely glazed surface. HOWEVER,I'll say pristine is an understatement, with absolutely no flaws to the face or edges(a smudge on the clay underneath) From what I gathered, this cloisonne' Delft tile was made in the 20's to 30's(any knowledge from an expert would be welcome) by the De Porceleyne Fles Delft Pottery, and it is stamped on the back with an early mark and it has holes through the back and top for hanging. Vintage Delft ceramic painted tiles framed picture of Holland
Wood framed delft ceramic tiles hand painted to a scene of the Dutch country side.3 tiles measures 6" x 6" and the total frame size is 18 3/4" long x 7 1/4" high the center tile is signed by debork the far right tile has a bit of damage shown on the fence as a white spot. The paint is scratched off. All in all this is a very nice old picture.

It is signed by J.C.V. Hunnik. The tiles are mounted in a strong wooden frame creating a beautiful tray with brass handles. This tray is one that even in Holland hard to find. Lot 48 Vintage Nutricia Holland Delft Tiles Boy Spinning Top Farm w/ Windmill
Large lot of 48 Delft tiles that were some type of complimentary gift from Nutricia. Holland in the early 90's. The tiles are 3" X 3" and there are 40 that feature a boy spinning a top and 8 farm scenes with a windmill in the background. The farm scene ones have a signature at bottom left that I cannot make out, it looks like TK Roe. Several tiles are boxed and have"COMPLIMENTS OF NUTRICIA" on the front with dates of'92& 93 on them. Tiles are used, they were attached or had some type of backing on them at one time. I have not attempted to clean, but they all appear to be in excellent shape, despite some dirt and smoke. Four Mid Century Set Servais Germany Vintage Delft Blue Framed Tile Paintings
Here is a set of four vintage wood framed. Delft blue porcelain tile paintings. Each one is marked Servais, Germany and has a set of numbers on the back. They are exceptionally pretty. Other than crazing they are in superb shape. The framed paintings are 11.5 by 11.5 inches overall and the tiles alone are 6 x 6 inches. The back of a couple need nails to hold the tiles in place. No cracks. Edges smooth. Surface looks smooth. With crackled appearance in places. My Dad was a parachute packer in WWII. While in Belgium. He got this tile off of a wall in a castle. I believe it was KRUIKENBURG castle. The local Lords van Wezemael built this castle during the 14th century. Financial problems were the cause of why they had to sell their castle in 1380 to the family't Seclaes from Brussels. In the second part of the 16th century the properties from the family't Serclaes went to the family de Fourneau Lords of Kapelle by means of marriage. A jump in time to June 2nd. 1938 is when the family de Lichtervelde holds a ... morepublic sale of the castle. The friars of the Christelijke Scholen who still own it today bought the castle. Part of the castle is used as a school. The castle still reflects a memory of times as a medieval stronghold with its wide moat and a square entrance tower where you still can see the marks of the drawbridge and the portcullis. This ceramic tile is decorated with a lion holding a sign that reads Een in Oorlog Vredeen Vrijheid. The bottom reads Amstel Brouwerij. This tile is for Amstel and reads in English Amstel Brewery. One in War Peace Freedom. There is a gate around the lion. The tile is 7 7/8 inches long and 5 ¾ inches wide. The tile is marked on the back with a Delft mark. The tile likely dates to the first half of the 20 th century. It is in excellent condition with no damage but there are nail holes in the top.
