Up for you consideration out of my long time collection comes a beautiful Taylor Tile. This table is a beautiful exotic tropical bird and is in excellent condition for it's age. Circa 1930. There are no cracks, major chips or repairs. There is some minor scuffing to some of the black which is usual from normal ware. The round 4 tile set measures 16 1/2" across. There is minor crazing but not very noticeable. Questions Welcomed and Satisfaction a Must! Measures: wood frame- 19-1/2"length x 13-1/4"wide x 1-1/4"deep from the wall.tiles- 6" x 6" Tiles are in great shape. see pictures) The 6 tiles are mounted in a walnut/oak frame. The wood plaque frame does have some scuffs/dings with a nice patina. On back of picture is a wire hanger. The 6 tiles make-up a scene is a young girl getting ready to take a bath in a bathtub. California Taylor Tile Table, Chinese Table Top Malibu and Catalina Era
Incredible Taylor/ Santa Monica Tile table top with no base and there are no indications there ever was one. This is the"Chinese Table Top" and it is so hard to find. The Taylor catalog dedicated the entire page to this pattern and the tiles are unique. They are not the square. But have a pattern around the center tile. Vintage Mexican Pottery Tile (set of 4) - maybe D&M Catalina Taylor California
Estate-acquired hand-made and hand-painted tiles. Each tile is unique and gorgeous. No marking is evident. Condition is very good for their age. Please see photos for their exact condition. Each tile has three identically placed glaze pops on the front. Typical of the way these were fired. 5 1/2" square. Approximately 3/4" thick. Sides are beveled. D& M Tile Co. Los Angeles, CA 1928-1939 There is a fantastic pair of vintage bookends with original iron and 6" colorful D&M tiles. The Spanish tin-glazed geometric pattern has 4 bright glaze colors on an off-white background. The old wrought iron bookend frames have a great patina and curled, twisted'handles' Measures 6 1/2" sq x 1" thick. This fabulous table was made in the same classic arts and crafts/ mission style of the 1930's like those made by Malibu Tile Co. Catalina Tile, Monterey Tile and California Tile. Very bright and vibrant colors, very little crazing is visible in the tile, grout is in good condition, no loose tiles. Top is original to the base, and base is in need of some very minor refinish work. Overall dimensions, top 18” x 18” 17” tall, tiles are 6” x 6” An excellent addition to any tile table collection.
