Vintage Rugerio Tiles Signed Hand painted Original(1930's-1940's)
Two signed vintage hand painted Rugerio tiles. 1930's-1940's. First one is Don Quixote signed RUGERIO on the left corner and signed S on the right corner. The second tile is signed in the midways. The second tile pictured has a place on the upper right corner that appears to be a nick but on close examination it is simply made that way the glaze just ended at that point and is very smooth. You are bidding on a hand painted table top from the 1920's. I know because it was my Grandma's and she was born in 1885! 12 tiles! Bought in the 20's the table top is so sweet it would look great in a vintage kitchen. Framed on a wall or on a table of your own. Each tile is 6"x6" and.25 thick so it would be easy to mount anywhere 18" x 24" The table has very few issues and typical wear and tear for age but here they are: Only one tile shown has a ding in it. shown) it also has a chip which was glued but you can't see it. Vintage Hand Painted Tiles- beautiful blue floral pattern- complete set of 22
This gorgeous set of tiles were taken out of a shower in a home built in the hills of Southern California during the 1950s. This auction includes all 22 tiles. Consisting of 10 individual flower tiles, and 3 sets of the four tile pattern. Each tile is almost 4" by 4" They are closer to 3 and 15/16" The tiles are in used condition, and still have signs of the original install including a little bit of mortar still on the back, which will scrape off. There is very little still stuck, and it could be installed as is. The edges of the tile still have some grout stuck, but this too also comes off easily. 2 tiles are chipped, but I think they will be covered by the new grout. See the last two pictures and decide for yourself. Rare to find complete sets this pretty.

Up for auction is this set of six(6) 6" square ceramic tiles/ trivets. Each tile is hand painted with a character from Chaucer's'Canterbury Tales' The characters are; The Poor Parson. The Reeve, The Miller, The Monk and The Cook x 2. I have informed that these were painted by a company called Packard& Ord in the early 1950's. It would appear that they may have been used as trivets? as each has a thin cork backing. Some of the backings are in poor condition. 1950s Vintage 2 Signed Hand Painted Framed Glass Tiles Panel Picture Spain
Hello and welcome For sale are these wonderful pair of framed hand painted porcelain/Glass? tiles. The glass tiles are decorated with sparrows and tree branches with flowers. The colors are soft pink. Blue, green, red, teal and browns. The tiles are in rectangular gold leaf. Appear to be wooden frames with areas of missing gold leaf paint. On the back of frames it says: To remove cello-phane cover wet well all with sponge wait one minute before removing to avoy damage gold leaf. They measure 3-1/2" x 7-1/2" x 1"deep. and the tiles measure 7" x 5" The glass tiles fit tightly into the backs of the frames and are covered with a paper backing and have been framed by the Verilyn Gallery. 17th 18th century hand painted tiles set square biblical antique vintage RARE
I purchased these in San Francisco from a very reputable dealer I've worked with over the years. He told me these were 17 th century but I have no way of proving their age. It's abundantly clear they are very. Very old. The glaze used for painting the images is a really pretty eggplant with widely varying tones depending on how the artist wanted the shading to look. There appears to be Bible references written at the base of each tile. There is a fair amount of chipping at the top of the one marked MAT:27:24 although they each have their'issues' with respect to condition. NO CRACKS and could be set into grout easily. They measure 5 inches square. If there is anything I've missed please ask questions so I can get you the info you're looking for! Seen on the"ground" beneath his feet, and a bit of wear in his green sleeve. No corner chips, but there are 4 single chips on the back each tile ~ one on each of the 4 sides in the middle. It looks as if this were displayed in a frame at one time, and these were cause by the nails holding it to the frame being too tight and grinding into the tile. There is also a rust colored stain around the top chip, more than likely caused by rust on the frame hanger. These flaws are not visible from the front when on display. Very nice pair of vintage ceramic tiles that are hand painted. Signed and framed. The tiles have their original stickers on the back of the frame which read"Rosenthal Weltmarke Handmalerei" Below the above we think it says in German the title of the design on each tile. Each tile is hand painted and the workmanship and colors are exquisite. The artist's signature is also present on the front lower right corner of each tile. The artist is different on each tile and even though one is a bird on a thistle branch and the other is a floral. Both tiles go well with each other because the colors are very similar. Each tile measures(including frame) 5" X 5" Each tile is in excellent condition and each frame even though in good vintage condition. Vintage Danish Ceramic Coasters Tiles ~ Hand Painted~Set of 6. Orig Box, Denmark Description: This is a sweet set of six hand-painted ceramic tiles that were made in Denmark. They are 3 inches square. Have cork on the bottom and appear to be intended to use as coasters. Each is painted with a different flower. They are stamped on the bottom, Handpainted Denmark” There is no date present. But the box does seem to be somewhat old. The box is labeled"Aakjaer Serien" which I believe is the name of the floral series. There are other words in Danish on the box(see closeup photo) A perfect accessory for your Danish Modern collection! Condition: The tiles are in near-perfect condition with almost no flaws that I could find. One of the tiles has a bit of paper glued pretty solidly to the bottom of the cork. The edges of the tiles are just ... morea bit rough. The box has a bit of wear. A few soil marks, and tape scarring on it and someone has written on the box. Please see photos. All fragile items like this are double-boxed carefully in well-padded cardboard boxes to ensure their safe arrival. Okay. These are very nice tiles with painted scenes of a Dutch wharf, with windmills, sailboat and people walking on the grass in front of the harbor.Also, a scene by the harbor with the windmill near a small cottage.
