Afraid that I don't know how old this is- very Art Deco in feel and colour- from the other pieces I acquired this with, I reckon that this is probably at least 50 years old. The dusky pink silky thread burns very slowly in burn test not turning into a synthetic blob. Not sure if it's silk or mercerised cotton. The trim weighs around 11g per metre In very good condition. Up for auction is a beatiful vintage chenille spread. it is an eggshell color(slight off-white) with silver metallic threads running through the entire quilt, nothing gaudy, just a touch to make it shimmer, i darkened picture#6 or 7 so the metallic would show. it has a large basket of flowers center medallion and lots of different designs throughout. the chenille is VG+ with slight wear. MORGAN JONES tag is attached. it is marked full but it fits on my queen nicely. measurements are 117" x 97" includes a 4" fringe. there is one small hole and one spot(size of a dime) up by the headboard. the hole could easily be fixed and i have not treated the spread but it has been washed and line dried. could be used for all seasons, weighs, 6lbs.
