Primitive Colonial Early Stained 1776 Table Runner ~ Handcrafted
This handcrafted runner is made of osnaburg and stained. At each end the year 1776 is painted in black. We love how this looks on our farm table in our Keeping Room. This would also look great draped over a cupboard door with one of our pewter hangers for our battery operated taper candles hung over it for primitive charm. Measures approximately 40" long. 11" wide. Each is handcrafted here at Fine Country Living Primitives. So slight variations may occur. Accessories in picture are not included with the sale. CHINESE ORIENTAL round DOILEY TABLE RUNNER metallic embroidery silk brocade
This unique doiley measures 16.5" 42cm) in diameter. It is embroidered with very fine gold metallic threads in a beautiful swirly design with graceful dragons and birds(cranes? all around. The center circle has a Chinese symbol but I do not know what it means. It is all in different shades of gold silk. With a border all around of floral silk damask. Some of the dragons have muted dark green threads on their bodies. Around the damask border is a black/gold silk edging and a narrow salmon pink silk piping in the inner circle(photo 4) The back is also a pale gold silk with the swastika design. And there is some residue from a price tag as well as several small marks(photos 10 and 12) There is one thread loose(photo 5) Otherwise it is in clean condition, and no rips or tears or odors. Vintage arts and crafts table runner linen applique craftsman mission style
I am selling some of my arts& crafts/mission collection in preparation for moving. This is a gorgeous mission-style table runner in a pale green shade. With white ending on both ends and fantastic applique design on each end. It is symmetrical(same on both ends) Flower design is in a rich blue color. I don't know what the material is, nor the exact age. Size: It is 16.5" wide and 54" long. Condition: Seems to be in perfect condition- I cannot see any stains. Watermarks, tears, pulls, or problems with the applique. It was so pretty we didn't use it for fear of spilling, and it must have been gently used by the previous owners as well. Up for auction is this antique netted table runner from the Arts& Crafts era. This runner would look great with a Craftsman decor. It is made with a thick cotton netted material and has geometric designs woven into the netting along the outside border. This runner measures approx. 31" 18.5" at the widest parts but the dimensions narrow slightly as you near the center. It is yellowed from age and has some stains. Loose threads and frayed areas, but is still in useable condition. It should clean up nicely with proper laundering which it needs because it has been in storage for many years. Antique Middle Eastern Persian silk TABLE RUNNER scarf doileytapestry fringes
This beautiful table scarf measures 25.5" x 7" 65cm x 18cm) not including the 3" 7.7cm) silk fringes on either side. It comes from the Middle East. Probably from the former Persia, turn of the century. The colours are mainly ecru/red/blue/gold and are still bright. There are some yellowish stains in the center(photo 5-6-7) but they blend quite well into the design so they are not too obvious. The runner is woven with an interesting texture that looks like diamond shapes. The fringes are in very fine ecru silk threads. Hand-tied, but the main fabric is silk and linen. You can see the woven texture on the back(photo 12) This table runner can also be used to make a pillow front. Or collected for its beauty. No odors. No rips, no tears. This is in very nice condition. There is one small flaw in the lace on the short edge where it has a minor separation which can be seen in the bottom of the first two photo's. The flaw is minor and if you wished could be completely hidden with a couple small stitches. Otherwise in good condition with no problems, this is untreated and has an overall patina, the edges with some faint tanning, but nothing detracting. This is constructed of a lace panel and edged in matching 1-1/2 inch lace trim on all 4 sides. I believe the threads are all cotton. Amazing doily/vintage table runner with faded coloring and detailed crewel style embroidery. This piece is quite old and it shows in the wear of the fabric. Some of the edges are fraying. This piece has been mended with extra cloth that sewn onto the back. The embroidery is done in yellow/green and brown thread. There is some blue on the cloth. But appears to have painted on, or was part of the original color and has faded. With all the flaws. Fraying and repair work, this is still a rather stunning piece.
