Canada. So of course what you see is what you will get. Sold as is. It still stand by itself. 24’1/2 height or 2 feet It weight 1.52 kilo or 3.35 pounds On the front of the box behind the glass you see a nice print of the Last Supper. This is all original so of course the print is antique too. App. the frame of the box is 12’1/4 large by 8’3/4 height. With the purple carpet(or kind of) inside and maybe that need to be clean. There is a chain used for safety, in good condition ... moretoo. The door close well and the antique brass locker works well. On the top of the box you have 2 screws that fixed the candle holders, maybe in brass. On the back of the box(you will clearly see it’s really antique) you can see the 2 screws holding the crucifix. Maybe this box was fixed in the wall as an aumbry. I don’t have the chalice. About the crucifix it’s also made of wood. Back of the top you have a metal attach which 1 nail is missing. You can see some rust on it but it’s still very solid. I cannot say which material is made the holy Jesus, looks like wood but on the left eye you see some silver color so…maybe a metalic statue painted in gold color. 3 nails fixed the statue on the crucifix. The gold color crucified Jesus is 6’1/2 height by 5’ hand to hand) Crucifix is 24’ height x 10’ large. On the top of the cross you see the INRI( Iesvs Nazarenvs. Rex Ivdæorvm) fixed by 1 nail and maybe you can add another one because it’s not completely fixed. Tabernacle Veil Portion Satin Embroidered ChiRho Incense Bowl Motif Unusual FINE
I think this is a portion from a large tabernacle veil front. It is larger sized. Measuring 19 3/4" wide at the bottom by 27 1/2" long, measured from the center to the bottom edge, therefore it must have originally been used on a main altar tabernacle in a larger church or basilica. The iconography features a Chi Rho(Name of Christ) monagram design in a sunburst radiance, and two golden incense bowls below with figurative billows of smoke in dove grey ascending upwards. This looks to be machine embroidered over off-white satin, and probably dates from the 1940s/50s. It would look beautiful redesigned perhaps as a processional banner or framed as a liturgical art piece. Condition is graded as generally Very Fine. but I note one ink stain on the border edge, left hand side about halfway up. You can see this in photo#1& 2; 2 shows ... morethe machine stitched reverse) But this stain in no way affects the actual image design and would be covered by hemming or when inset in a larger piece of fabric. Most are manufactured by commercial vestment companies. Description: Cream rectangular tabernacle veil. The top surface is made of a satiny cream fabric. Edged with fancy gold trim. The sides are made of cream lace, with a narrow strip of gold banding running down the front openings, and gold trim around the bottom. Condition: There are a couple of very faint marks on the top fabric. And a tiny bit of damage on the bottom edge of the lace at the center back, but otherwise it is in very good condition.
