The interlaced trefoil and triangle was a common symbol of Christian Trinity during the late Middle Ages in Europe. It is mitered and contoured at the neck for proper fit. The stole is 46 inches long from neck to each end. Almost 5 inches wide at the end and 2.5 inches wide at the neck. The stole is substantial weight and is of very good quality. Old Green Silk Brocade Cope
Here is an old green silk brocade cope that still has life left in it. But it does have issues. It has old repairs in the clasp area and it needs some additional repair there. There are several old wax spots that no one has attempted to remove. The real gold metallic fringe is new and the sewing job was not the greatest, though from a few feet away it looks fine. There is slight discoloration on the two front panels. As I was folding it, I noticed several other wax spots where the wax was removed. Some of the sequins are missing.The lining is faded green cotton. It is made of a fabulous metallic gold brocaded silk. In the centre there is a large raised goldwork IHS motif. This is decorated with sequin covered'rays' The banner is edged all round with a lovely silk and gold metallic trim. And the lower edge has a metallic bullion fringe. Also included in the auction is the original hanging rod which is gilded metal and has lovely little acorn finials at the ends. The banner measures 20 inches(50 cm) wide and is 32 inches(80 cm) high. Ole Silk White Brocade Cope for Salvage
Here's a very old-likely 19th century-white silk brocade cope with red and gold panels and hood. The most serious problem with this cope is the white silk brocade. It has a number of splits and holes. The worst of them are just behind the huge tassel and in the center just above the lower hem. I really don't think that this is repairable. The collar to hem length is 49" So it is a relatively short cope. The cope has no clasps. It does have a large quantity of real gold metallic trim and a magnificent real silver metallic tassel. I have tried to provide a photo of all the issues.

I think this silk IHS brocade cloth is a chalice veil. It measures approximately 18 inches square. The condition is excellent. But there is a teeny area where the fabric is soiled. It is barely noticeable, and I mention it only for accuracy in the listing. This spotlet appears to be recent, not a soaked in stain and would most likely remove. 1860-1960.one hundred years of fashion& accesories Antique Religious Red Silk Brocade Embroidered Priests Vestment Chasuble Poncho This antique religious red silk brocade embroidered Catholic priests vestment chasuble dates from 1900. It is made of a red silk damask weave brocade fabric with a woven floral pattern. Colorful chain stitch embroidery work done in a floral fancy rococo design and gold metallic lamé trim edging, creating a cross on the back. This religious Catholic priests vestment chasuble has a loose fitting poncho style with open sides and is fully lined. The chasuble measures 37 inches long and 26 inches wide. It is in good as-is condition, with a few frayed splits and mended repairs on the silk(see close-up) This is truly a wonderful antique religious textile!
