Description Please use the Supersize Feature on our pictures at the top and below the description as we consider them to be a very important part of our auctions- our photos show great detail and they are about the next best thing to"being there" Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Keep an eye out for more auctions from us– we will be listing a good number of vestments. Chasubles, stoles, a few Deacons stoles, and more. The color of this cloth is a soft butter or cream. Also. Please excuse the images of flowers underneath the cloth- it is my bedspread showing through. This is a used Vestment Funeral Pall that measures 112” long and is 68” wide. There is a 3 ¼” hem around the borders and the vertical seams are ½” wide. The center panel is 34” wide and each side panel is 17” wide. The center of the Pall has a ... moresewn on appliqué of the XP Chi Rho symbol in gold. Blue and red. All four corners have weights inside to hold the cloth in place. The hem around the border is all carefully and skillfully hand stitched and the vertical seams are machine sewn. I am not sure of the cloth content. But an educated guess is a cotton/poly blend. It is probably machine washable. But I do not think the appliqué would do very well, so I would recommend Dry Cleaning. There are no holes. Tears, repairs or worn spots in the cloth, but there are some stains. I have taken some pictures to show them. But I am not sure what they are from. They are darker from the back of the cloth and it does not appear that this has been laundered since the stains occurred so they are probably not set in. No guarantees, though that it will come completely clean. Please feel free to ask any questions that you might have– I am always happy to answer! Late 19th century hand sewn Fiddleback Chasuble(from Casula. Meaning little tent) with matching Chalice Pall and Stole. The items are all handsewn, top surface is crushed velvet(purple) and the reverse is silk. The orphery is a gold colored brocade with metalic thread interwoven, hand stitched. All three pieces, the Chasuble, Chalice Pall and Stole have similiar material, stitching and broccade except the Stole has metallic spring-like fringes. Dimensions: The Chasuble is overall length approximately 75" x 25-1/4" wide.
