Offered is an antique red velvet panel that is trimmed with gold metallic and bullion trim. I do not know the origin of this piece but because it is fully lined and has two hooks on the reverse side and because it is gathered at the top. I am thinking it was part of a vestment or cape. Feel free to message me any ideas you have about its origin and use: The velvet and trim are in excellent condition. I took photos with and without a flash so you can see the fabric nap and texture. The reverse side is fully lined with a gold silk fabric. The gold trim is silk and metallic. Gold metallic bullion trim is stitched to the bottom edge. Beautiful vintage gold bullion Floral appliques for use on a Roman Fiddleback vestment. Each rose measures 4" by 3" They each consists of 2 large leaves. 3 small leaves, the flower, the stem, and a bud. This is a set of seven. Old bullion appliques are becoming extremely hard to find. This set is in extremely good condition for its age, but the fabric that they are attached to will need to be removed before they can be reapplied to a new vestment. Bullion is small mil gold wire that has been wrapped.
