Vintage Ornate Roman Catholic Fiddleback Chasuble Priest Vestment Made in Paris. The chasuble is embroidered in multicolored thread on a beautiful emerald green background. The robe measures in the back from the neck 39 3/8” and from the shoulder 43 5/8” long. It is 26” wide. The cross on the back is 39" x 22" x 8" It is composed of sheaves of wheat. Grape clusters, grape leaves and swirls and banded in a 1” wide ribbon. The front of the vestment from the neck measures 28” and from the shoulder 32 ¼” long. It is 23” wide tapering down to 14” wide. The front has the same embroidered designs as the back. The outside of the chasuble is a patterned emerald green, probably cotton, and the inside is a plain lighter green cotton. It is in very good condition. Antique Gold Roman Chasuble Fiddleback Vestment for Catholic Priest, Clergy
Gold Colored Roman Chasuble/Fiddleback Vestment for Low Mass This beautiful Chasuble is in very good antique condition. It has been recently refurbished and can once again be employed for Divine Worship. This particular vestment was originally made in France and is very substantial and heavy. Although I am not certain of the material. It reminds me of cloth of gold and feels almost metallic. The Chasuble. Maniple, and stole have been completely relined with red satin fabric. There are no rips or tears in the shell of the chasuble although there is some faint spots of mild discoloration. The chalice veil and burse were constructed from a dalmatic that was beyond repair, which is why there is a unique pattern formed with the galloons. I should note that the burse cannot be opened. All pains have been taken to salvage the beautiful lamb on the ... moreback of the vestment. Some of the metal parts of the lamb's legs were lost to time and have been replaced with thread. New longer strings were added to the inside front of the chasuble that help to secure the vestment to the waist of the priest. This set includes: Chasuble. Stole, Maniple, Burse, Chalice Veil. The dimensions of the chasuble is approximately: Back: 39" from shoulder to hem; 25" across. Front: 34.5" from shoulder to hem; 22" across at widest point. Please note this is an antique vestment that I believe is close to 100 years old. There will be signs of aging; yet despite its age. It has held up quite nicely. If you should have any questions. Late 19th century hand sewn Fiddleback Chasuble(from Casula. Meaning little tent) with matching Chalice Pall and Stole. The items are all handsewn, top surface is crushed velvet(purple) and the reverse is silk. The orphery is a gold colored brocade with metalic thread interwoven, hand stitched. All three pieces, the Chasuble, Chalice Pall and Stole have similiar material, stitching and broccade except the Stole has metallic spring-like fringes. Dimensions: The Chasuble is overall length approximately 75" x 25-1/4" wide. The Chalice Pall is 25-1/4" x 25-1/4" The Stole is 35" long x 7-1/4" wide narrowing to 3-1/2" Damage: Chasuble: Isolated seam separation.Mall, moth damage holes on inside silk lining, some loss due to wear on velvet napp. Chalice Pall, drop of wax on velvet napp. Stole has minor wear to napp.

Purple Violet Fiddleback Chasuble Priest Vestment
Up for auction is violet fiddleback-style chasuble with matching stole. The detail work is quite impressive. I'm not sure of the age or country of origin. Although this vestment is in excellent shape. The orphreys are very nice, and the embroidered cross on the front is meticulously done. Was cleaned recently and hasn't been used since. Could use a good ironing, but aside from that, this set is in excellent shape. A great find for Lent!

Violet/Purple Chasuble Roman Fiddleback Stole Maniple
This is a Violet/Purple Chasuble with Stole and Maniple. It is made of Violet Faux Silk Taffeta(which causes the fabric to appear light blue/gray to some people in photographs but I assure you it is Violet/Purple) It is lined in Pink Satin. It was made it about 2 1/2 years ago on commission by a Benedictine Oblate.

Red Roman Fiddleback Chasuble, Stole, and Maniple.
Auction for a Red Chasuble with Stole and Maniple. It is not a perfect match. The stole and maniple were matched as closely as possible to the Chasuble. The Chasuble is actually. As I understand, a US Navy Chaplain Chasuble. It is reversible(Red/Violet) however the violet side has significant sun damage. The color is faded but the fiber of the fabric is not compromised.
