WW2 GERMAN KM KREIGSMARINE COASTAL ART. OFFICER LEATHER GREATCOAT GROSSE MANTEL
This is an ORIGINAL German World War Two full length Kreigsmarine leather great coat for officer on board a ship with 12 guns or better OR Coastal Artillery. This is denoted by the one remaining dual winged cypher on the left shoulder board. One wing is actually broken. I got this coat personally from the original Vet's family in Vancouver. Washington. Every stitch of this coat is 100% GUARANTEED ORIGINAL WW2 of the period. Other than service wear, there are no repairs, split seams, major dryness or problems with this coat. The leather is supple. Some areas show where the dye has worn, but there is no major dryness. Coat has all of it's original buttons, original button stitching. As pictured, there are two missing buttons on the front. Coat is smaller to medium size. I'll provide measurements if requested. Coat does have the ... morevelveteen KM hangers(or what is left of them) inside the left pocket. It looks like they were cut by the original wearer. That, along with the particular wear on this coat, I believe personally it was worn on board a ship which is evident from the wear near the bottom of the coat. There is one small hole near the bottom, and slight wear in the leather on the inside edge of the coat's bottom walking panel(where the coat has snaps in the rear to relieve the wearer for walking) There is also one hole in the liner and some service wear. There are no repairs. This is a very nice great coat in superb serviceable condition. Rarely seen. I have several more pictures, these 12 really don't do it justice.
