Brass and Black metal covered wood. 2 original metal casters. 2 replaced rubber casters. A few small dents on the left- front brass. Pieces of one original leather handle remain. Vintage Black Metal Covered Steamer Excelsior Trunk
Vintage flat topped metal covered steamer Excelsior trunk. Has been kept inside a smoke and pet free home. Height: 22.5 inches width: 32 inches Depth: 19 inches Would make an excellent restoration project. While the paint is damaged and needs to be redone. There is minimal damage to the metal itself. The drawer lifts out easily. The drawer insert does require some repair. The damage would be easily remedied by re-papering. There is no key for the lock. I have seen keys for this particular Excelsior trunk lock. The code for the key is 5989. The hasps on either side of the lock work well. I have owned this trunk for close to 30 years. It was vintage. Close to antique when I bought it. In all the years I have owned this trunk, I have not seen another one as large as it.

This trunk has heavy duty metal corners and latches. It also has some brass reinforcements. The original lock is broken and does not come with a key. The lock has been disabled and cannot lock.
