It is 82" long and ... more39" high to the center at the back. This sofa is ornate with hand crafted hard wood decor about 2" thick in dark brown color of the grape and leaf patterns. The cushion is about 4" at highest point. 58" long without arm, and 20" deep. It is an original tanned upholstery with the small mauve flower pattern. It is decorated with some fabric buttons on the cushion. The cushion is very firm. There are 3 light water stains on the cushion sitting area as shown in the pictures. There is a small worn area on the fabric of the left arm. No major damage on the cushion. The cushion is 5" high from the floor. It has the brass rivets stitched along the cushion all the way around the front. The arm is 24 1/2" high from the floor. Each arm of the sofa has embossed hand crafted grape leaf design. There is a wooden surface damage on the top right arm. The stitching at the back along the left arm has come detached about 2" The legs are very stunning with the hand carvings on wood about 2 3/4" thick. The end of the legs have brass wheels about 1" diameter. There is a tear at the back on right foot area of the upholstery about 2" but it is not noticeable. The back felt cover is purple/ blue, it is faded. There are rusty nails holding back cover, that is partially torn off. The bottom of the couch covered with the fabric, it is old, has no tears. All the tears mentioned can be fixed. All is in great shape. This piece is really classic antique look, was kept well by our grandmother circa 1800's. Sold as is. Local pick-up only. This nicely designed tile is a little gem. 4" x 8" It is an excellent example of good British relief sculpture. The frame just hugs the edges and the resulting object has nice depth.The classical woman, Greek or Roman, seems to be in a window or doorway. The frame is 1 1/2 inches deep. The gold trim adds to the illusion of depth. The tile can be removed from the frame by peeling some tape and pulling out some pins.

Up for your consideration is this lot of rare salvaged Victorian 1880's fireplace tiles. They have a textured mottled finish in different shades of green with browns and gold's. All are marked on the back with the symbols for the International Tile Company from Brooklyn. New York, 1883-1891. The tiles were found in a wooden box in an out building of a farm house in Morganville, New Jersey. There are 24 tiles that measure 3 by 3 inches; there are 47 tiles that measure 1 1/2 by 1 1/2 inches; and there are 4 tiles that measure 2 1/4 by 2 1/4 inches. One of which is a rosette. They are each about 1/2 of an inch thick. Overall, they are in good condition with some edge chips on a couple and grout on the edges of some. Stunning antique Victorian English Majolica tile moulded in high relief with a very beautiful glaze color in rich browns of intertwining vines and leaves weaving around a stylised flower to the center. The high relief moulding is very crisp and sharp with excellent detail. Circa 1895. The tile is in very good condition. A few small chips along edges/corners. As well as a few small surface chips. Very light crazing. Superb glaze brilliance with wonderful depth of color. Another speciality was barbotine tiles, tiles made using raised painted slip decoration. The company folded in 1911. There are no cracks or repairs. We have not polished/cleaned the pieces, we will leave this up to the new owner. On auction today is. Beautiful Victorian era tiles. Made from the PROVIDENTIAL TILE WORKS company in Trenton, New Jersey. A set of 5 antique porcelain tiles. Four of the tiles seem to be the same and then the one on the left of the first picture is different. They all are antique rose pattern from the Victorian era. These tiles are rare and hard to find. Especially with a set of five. They are 6x6 inch tiles that are 1/2 inch thick. They were made in circa 1885. They have some chips in the glaze and there is definitely crazing in the glaze. None are broken. Very good condition considering they are 129 years old! A little history of these tiles and how I acquired them. Well it was a Saturday afternoon and my husband and I were traveling through Connecticut. We saw signs for a barn sale and followed them through the back roads of Connecticut. ... moreWe finally arrived at this barn filled with 3 generations of antiques. The owner was moving to a retirement home and he was about 80 years old sitting in a chair and told us to come in and look around. So we did. The floor of this barn was not very sturdy and we had to be very careful where we stepped. We found a lot of items but in the corner of this barn, in a back room there was this box. In the box were these tiles carefully packed and probably sitting there for at least 100 years. Antique Victorian ceramic tile and iron bracket
VERY old ceramic tile and iron bracket/trivet. Possibly from Victorian England. This is a very old ceramic tile inserted into an iron frame with screws/nuts on the bottom that at one time was probably used as a trivet. The tile is cracked. But looking at the age of this piece(estimate late 1800’s) the cracks only add to the patina of age. The total piece measures 4” square x 5/8” thick and weighs in at over a pound(19 oz to be exact) The tile has a nice coloration of greens. Gold and off-white and age-appropriate crackling of the glaze, with a beautiful leaf pattern incised into the top of the tile. There is an iron plate on the bottom with a hole drilled in the center. For what purpose I can’t say. The piece does not sit flat, so I’m thinking that the square nuts on the bottom snug the iron plate up to the back of the tile and secure it ... morein the frame. The tile may have actually fractured when it was being tightened into the frame, but there’s no way of telling. In any case, this is definitely an antique. It would look cool in a small shadowbox or simply as an accessory. I would not recommend putting it on a wooden tabletop without padding. As it will scratch the wood. A unique item. Definitely very old, for the collector of the unusual or Victoriana- I can guarantee that there isn’t another one out there like this one. Thanks for looking. Providential Tile Works. Trenton, NJ 1886-1913 This company was in direct competition with Trent Tile Company and had similar designs on their outstanding tiles. Here is a 3-tile set with wonderful glazing. The very glossy surface is smooth a glass like with shades of teal, brown and while blending nicely. Crazing throughout. Beautiful 3-dimensional designs. Each tile measures 6" sq x 5/8" thick. Great condition considering the age. Some glaze skips on right edge; not chips. Signed, never set. Would make a terrific installation. Can be seen in Norman Karlson's Encyclopedia of American Art Tiles. Region 2, page 172. note: the speck on the bottom of the bottom tile has been removed; not a chip.

This auction is for a Victorian fireplace tile by E. Smith& Co. Coalville. This dates to about 1890. It's 6" x 6" and has been put into a wood frame. The design. Done in gray, black and white, show a bird flying over waves in the center of the tile surrounded by flowers, foliage and some, I think, cherry blossoms. The tile has all over age crazing, but no discoloration. There is also one small hole(near the top of the cherry blossoms)which may be a very old chip, glaze pop or something done during production. Nice portrait stove tile of woman in a teal glaze color made by Low Art Tiles. Chelsea, Massachusetts in about 1885. This tile was probably originally set in a cast iron stove as a decorative medallion. The back stamp of the tile is not visible but the tile design is found in the Low catalogue(design number R51) The tile's diameter is 3 1/8" and is in good overall condition. The tile has a small glaze chip in the hair to the right of her eye and very minor glaze nicks along the outside edges of the tile(see photos) The tile is mounted on a wood frame and appears to be glued onto it. Rare Victorian hand cut and hand coloured lithopane depicting a Roman toga clad woman smelling flowers in a garden setting. Comes in stained glass frame. Frame measures just under 7 3/4inches wide X 8 5/8inches high. Lithopane is 4 X 4 3/4inches. Strong Pre-Raphaelite influence on this lithopane in which a toga clad woman with long.
