Vintage Porcelain Cross Handles Stems For Old Bathroom Antique Bath
Up for auction are three(3) porcelain cross handles and stems. Stems have a metal prong which go inside the handle and make handle turn Porcelain handles are in good shape with no cracks. Minor scratches. Just need a good cleaning Handles have paint on them and need to be removed by the buyer. But overall they are in good condition with no cracks. Handles are vintage and cap screw itself tightens them onto the stem. Unlike today where they have a screw in the center to attach to the stem. Porcelain caps read COLD. HOT(minor hairline crack) WASTE Also included are two extra stems(one stem has the metal prong. The other prong is missing) with a HOT CAP AND A BROKEN COLD CAP No name found on them. This auction is for 2 antique bathtub or sink 90 degree unions. These came off of an antique bathtub. They measure approx 2” high and 3 ½” in length. The union thread is a 1” pipe and the stationary thread is ¾” These are 2 pc unions with what appears to be a ½” thread connecting them. I am not a plumber so I described these the best I could. Listing is for an antique vitreous china sink bowl. Marked The Trenton Potteries Company with the number 2, which is the Delaware plant. Trenton potteries was in business from 1892, until being bought circa 1928 by the Crane company. I see a 1/8" shallow nick to the inner rim above the overflow drain holes, and minor flea bites in a few other areas of the inner rim. Measures approximately 12 3/8" for the outside diameter, and 6 3/8" total height at center, see next to last photo.The previous owner said it came out of a 1890's house, but did not know when it was installed. I bought these to use in my house which I bought in 1974. The house was built in1900. Bathroom was rehabbed and resurrected for two years from salvage and wrecking yards. Well before restoration hardware or home improvement shows were a blink. The shipping labels on the tile crates were dated 1927. The and tiles were unused. Then I cleaned out a hardware store that had buggy and carriage catalogues stashed away. They had gone into business in 1902! I used their old stock to re-do the rest my house. This water faucet was found on a shelf in an old falling down house. It does have some pits and is kinda dirty it is exactly how I found it. The handle moves back and forth and side to side very smoothly if hooked up it could very well be in working order. The handle is stamped with an H on one side and C on the other the end of the spout it is stamped Crystal Flo. This is a very nice antique faucet and could be cleaned up nicely if u choose. Antique Standard Cast Iron Wall Hung Sink and Faucets Porcelain with Bracket
Antique"Standard" wall hung cast iron sink almost 100 years old! It is dated Feb 1923. This sink is in good overall condition and really is a beauty for it's age. There are no chips or heavy scratches in the porcelain. The faucets are not original but are in excellent working condition and come with new braided supply lines. The original star shaped nuts to secure faucets are still there. The drain will need to be replaced which is a common part at a plumbing supply. The porcelain is nice glossy condition on the apron and backsplash however. It is a little dull and pitted in the basin area. This can be touched up with repair paint or the be used just the way it sits.There is also a chip on the bottom cast iron corner where it bolts to the wall however, this is not necessary for mounting this sink to the wall as it hangs on a ... morebracket. The original cast iron bracket is also included. Dimensions are 24" wide by 18" deep and 14" high. The sink basin is approximately 6.5" deep. This toilet paper holder came out of a 100+ year old house. The open scroll work would be a nice accent to a bathroom restoration decor. The nickel finish is worn down to the brass in some areas which gives it enhanced character. The wooden spool is not original. 6 1/4" wide- 3 1/2" tall- 2 3/4" deep.
