This is for one A.Y. Mc Donald Mfg Co Dubuque Ia Hand Well Pump. There is little to no paint left on this pump and it is almost all surface rust. It is roughly 43" tall. Some of the hardware has been replaced. Everything moves as it should and I couldn't find any cracks breaks or weld. This is being sold as more of a decorative item but could possibly be put back into use with a little effort. This item may be partially disassembled for a safer and more cost effective shipping. Antique Vintage Collectable Cast Iron Hand Water Pump W&B Douglas Middletown, CT
This old cast iron hand water pump has W&B Douglas and the number 2 on one side and Midd Conn on the other side. Handle moves up and down and there is part of the pumping plunger on the end of the rod as shown in the pictures. Don't know if it could be reconditioned to pump or not but would make a great display piece for your garden or mounted on an old cast iron sink. It measures approx. 15 inches tall. Base is 4 inches, mounting flange is 6 inches edge to edge. The handle is approx. 22 inches long. Weights about 20 pounds. Very little rust as shown in the pictures.

This Hand Operated Water Well Pump. Model NS4, from the Fairbury Windmill Co. Fairbury Nebr. was pumping water when Bonnie& Clyde were roaming the plains. It is from the 20s or early 30s, It is a true heirloom antique. It has a beautiful natural patina, from years of use. There is a small crack in the spout which probably occurred in the casting process, and was not noticed until the original red paint had worn sufficiently away. It has been there some 80 or 90 some years and is not likely to get any worse. This pump has been completely disassembled, and painstakingly cleaned and inspected. It is complete and in perfect working order. This is one of the largest of this kind of pumps. It is 20" tall, base diameter is 8 1/2" cap diameter is 6 1/8" and the width from spout to handle is 10 5/8" Weight is 25 pounds. The stroke is a little over 5" The handle is about 31" long Overall size with the handle down: 32" wide x 5" deep x 21" high Inside the column. Around the rod, is packing. I imagine it has to get wet to be effective, but I don't know if it is working right or not, so you may need to provide seals or other maintenance before putting this pump to use. Really nice goose neck antique/vintage hand pump. Pump head measures. From the bolt base to the top of the head, 25" Supply pipe is just over 60" I have no idea if it will work. Does have exterior rusting and the handle will move some but not much. Hard to get leverage without it being mounted. Definitely will need some grease. The design, as seen in the photos is awesome. Could be made into a working pump, used as is as an out door decoration or re-purposed for an indoor item.

Old Antique Vintage Montgomery Wards Cast Iron & Brass Hand Water Pump No. 81
14 years ago. My mother-in-law came to live with us. Recently widowed, she left her house as it was, came to Oregon and said she was never going back home. We told her we would pack her house up, pack EVERYTHING, and bring here for her to sort through at her pleasure. Her house was much like a museum. She was an avid and well known antique dealer and collector in Los Angeles in the mid to later 1900's. We moved over 700 boxes of items from her house. Along with many pieces of furniture. 1 of her pieces has been on the Antique Road Show. I built a 7000 sq. foot building to accommodate all her collections. She never opened a box. She died about 6 years ago. And we have just begun the process of going through the boxes ourselves. It is an arduous process. Some items will go to concession dealers. Some are given away, some things donated, ... moresome are kept and some things are offered here. I used to write a bit of the history at the beginning of each ad. I have decided to write this, and when a bit of provenance fits, I will include this introduction. These items were collected many years ago by a very sweet and knowledgeable lady. Wish she was here to tell me about each item we offer, but, I am on my own, and will do my best to describe. This is an unusual pump. It has a bullet head shaped top. Cast iron top cap and bottom with the center being brass. The 2 halves fit tightly together and held fast by 2 long bolts. It has the old Montgomery Wards"MW"logo on the cap. Part numbers are embossed on each piece that is used in the assembly. The base has No. 81 STD 5954 and the piece number 2 SE. The handle has 2 SB. On the cap, above the MW is 2 SA. Under the spout is 2 SD. Somewhere on the pump should be a single unit piece with"SD C" but I did not see it. I deduced that,

ANTIQUE WASHSTAND KITCHEN WATER PUMP HAND WELL PUMP 1800's
For sale is a very early 1800's indoor well water pump. This is the only one I have ever seen made just for indoor use.I think it was made for a cabinet or wash stand.It has a small nozzle spiggot and best of all has a small flat bottom housing that rests on counter top and plumbs through the cabinet or counter. I would change the long bolts but these do look original. Bolts need tightening. Otherwise it pumps full swing. This is a very rare find.Any one that know's wash stands know's how rare this is. For shipping I will try to loosen the bolts to dismantle. If they do not come apart I will be forced to cut the bolts to ship.Unless buyer pay's extra shipping costs for the full length pump.

The following auction is for a CJ Hartley hand well pump. I think its the kind that would mount on a kitchen wall by the sink. I am not sure if its made to pull water out of a 20 ft deep well. Its a bit dirty and rusty. It could use a good cleaning. I have no idea if it works or not. I can pull the slide that is inside the well housing. It does move up and down.But not a lot. It is labeled CJ Hartley Peoria ILL on the pump handle. On the pump housing it has the number 455. The bracket that mounts to the wall is numbered 453. The one side of the handle says Patd Nov 8. 1908.Then numbered 450. Its covered in a layer of surface rust.But its not rusting through or rotted away. Its more of a rustic rusty look. From the wall mount to the top of the well housing it measures about 8.5 inches. The bracket that mounts to the wall is about 10.5 inches ... morefrom hole to hole. From bottom of the pump(where the union is) to the top of the handle measures about 17 inches. A neat rustic piece. You will probably have to replace the leather gasket inside the pump. These usually dry rot. I didn't look inside and you may get lucky. This piece is untested and I truly have no idea if it works or not. LOT 2456 WE HAVE LOT OF OTHER AUCTIONS GOING ON.
