Antique Vintage Crane 'Kitchen Pride' Cast Iron Farmhouse Sink 1930's 1940's

Here is a nice old Crane' Kitchen Pride' kitchen sink that dates from the 1930's-40's. Usually these are stamped with the date of manufacture. But this o ne isn't; the age is indicated by the faucet set which is pre-1950's. The name' Ashford' is stamped on the bottom as well as behin d the spout. So I'm thinking that this is the foundry where it was cast? This was mounted on a metal cabinet originally, but the cabinet was so hacked up and rusted that it was beyond saving. This is heavy cast iron with a porcelain coating. Somewhere in the 200-250 po und range. ... moreIt appears that one of the basin s was used much more than the other(the shallow side saw the most use) As one is like-new and the other has some faint staining and a good deal of scuffs/scratches. The shallow side's basin floor'gloss' has been worn so that it is flat to the touch. There is a bit o f rust that shows o n the underside around the shallow side's drain. But it doesn't appear to have transferred up to the top as it doesn't show in the basin. See p hotos for condition. The faucet set is almost complete. The only thing missing is the o ne of the fa ucet hand le screws. Also. There is a brass nut that holds the valve body to the s pout that is partially stripped. I t may or may not seal properly. But I do know of a machinist who can repli cate it if need be(see final pic) The fi nish on the fauce t is in good shape. With just some light pitting and hard water stains. The edges of the sink has some spots where rust has st arted to creep under the porcelain. As well as a few small chips and scuffs/scratch es. Overall. This sink is in good condition. I have a few extra pictu res that wouldn' t fit here. So I can pass them along via ebay mes

I believe the base metal is brass or bronze with a chrome finish. There appears to be some paint splatter or other dirt on each piece so a good cleaning will be needed. I did a basic wipe down with a damp cloth to get the dust off and show the potential of these great pieces. Antique cast iron kitchen farm sink- light green porcelain in excellent condition. Double drain board surfaces flanking a large single basin with the original pair of adjustable legs. Included are the original drain basket/ strainer. Hanging brackets& screws and assorted drain pipe fittings. Also, a newer high-quality chrome over brass industrial faucet(barely used- I salvaged it from a renovation project) I do not know who manufactured this sink, Kohler or American Standard would be my guess. There is a photo of the markings on the underside. I purchased this sink from the original owners daughter, who still resides in the house where she was born and where the sink was installed in 1932. This is a rare Crane"Kitchen Queen" cast iron over porcelain kitchen sink. Crane sinks of this style with the arched faucet mount area are hard to find. Finding the original Crane"Dial Eze" faucet is almost impossible. They don't make the faucets anymore. This is your chance to transform your kitchen back in time with an unusual sink with the original faucet. The sink shows some expected wear like dings(pic# 12 is an example) Some scratches, and a some spider cracks(pic# 10) that can be patched with a kit but overall a very nice sink. I believe the sink was made in 1948. The stamp mark under the sink in pic# 9(8 48) I believe it stands for the month and year manufactured August 1948. These sinks were made from the late 40s through 60s. The faucet may need a couple of new cartridges(around $15 each) and a new set of ... morewashers that can be picked up at a hardware store. I've never had the sink hooked up. If you dont have any plumbing skills, its best to hire a plumber to hook everything up and make sure everything is ok. I have taken a photo(pic#11) of the clips and where they should be installed to hold the faucet on. 30" Antique High back kitchen Farm Sink 1926 Craftsman
This is the original sink from our 1926 Craftsman home. Was removed during our remodel. It is in good shape other than a few small speckles and a couple of small chips. The finish is is pretty dull inside the bowl. I would guess this is normal for a sink this old. I am including a refinishing kit that's been sitting around for several years. Notes: It was found amongst a pile of old fittings at a local estate. Near the hot and cold handles. It is stamped, Chi-Fau-Co Pat. 1856088- The removable screen filter at the end of the faucet is marked, Reg. U.S. Pat. Off. SOFTFLO Chi-Fau-Co" AGHNIDES Pat. No. 2.210.846" Size: It is 8 1/4 inches from tip to tip of the hot and cold handles. The two water inlets can be configured up to 8 1/2 inches center to center apart. The inlets have a 3/4 inch inner diameter opening. Condition: Pitting. Scratches, plate loss, dings and some rust. Antique Cast Iron Farm House Kitchen Sink ( free shipping in continental U.S.)
Hello. I have had this sink in storage for a very long time. I had no idea of the nearly new condiction, I was amazed. Take a close look at the pics. and you will see what I mean. Notice the high gloss of the enamel. There is one tiny spot on the front left corner that is not a chip but it looks like the enamel may be thin. It may even come off. The area is smooth though. The faucet in the pics. is not the one that came with it. I will give it to you for free. It has had a lot of use and looks as if it may have been take apart with vise grips. Up for sale is this 1947 Richmond double basin farm sink and legs. The sink is approx 43" wide. 25 1/2" front to back by 12" high. The apron is 7" and the back splash is a total of 5" The basins are 17" wide x 15"there is a super deep basin on the left at approx 12" deep and the right is 6" deep. The outside faucet holes are 8" o/c and are standard size deck mount. The sink set is 65+ years old with its original porcelain and has been used. It shows signs wear and tear, sm nicks, scratches, scrapes, staining, etc etc. There has been a couple areas repaired with epoxy. The area around the drain holes had some deterioration from a leaky faucet and the top left corner of the back splash. They do not stick out but there. There are stains as well from a drain board had sat for a while. See pictures ... moreof close up areas. That being said the sink is still better than most and looks good. The cast iron legs are adjustable and bolt on in front of the drains. The legs and underside of sink will need to be scraped and repainted depending on preference. You just do not find character like this anymore and are getting more and more difficult to find, and great investment as well. Very Nice antique cast iron white porcelain kitchen sink. Manufactured By Kohler. This sink has a tall apron and a deep 5"basin and if you are standing at just the right angle you can see a very light pearlescent rainbow in the porcelain on the apron. Old sink has left side basin and right drainboard. The porcelain has pock marks. Scratches, paint splatter, and scuff marks, as well as a few small chips around the bottom edge. Most of the porcelain with the exception of the bottom of the basin still has its glossy sheen that is usually dull on these old sinks. Overall we consider it to be in very good usable and original condition. Please look over the pictures below and ask questions when needed.
