VINTAGE FAUCETS Acquired at an estate sale is this antique plumbing fixture. I am not a plumber so I will do my best to describe the items offered in this auction. I believe the base metal is brass or bronze with a chrome finish. Across the top of the faucet nozzle is"STERLING" Sterling is the manufacturer. Not the material. There appears to be some dirt and plumbers putty on each piece so a good cleaning will be needed. I did a basic wipe down with a damp cloth to get the dust off and show the potential of these great pieces. The base measures 4 1/2 inches tall from the bottom of the threaded pipe to the top of the handle; 5 1/2 inches long; threaded pipe is 1 inch; space between threaded pipes is 2 1/4 inches; threaded pipe is about 1 1/2 inches tall; faucet is 3 1/2 inches from the tip of the faucet to the back of the base; opening ... morefor faucet is 1/2 inch across and the handles are 3 1/2 inches long. CooL Vintage 1920s/ 1930s Kitchen Sink Porcelain Handles Faucet Plumbing Fixture
Scroll down for more photos/ more views below description Cool old 1920s/30s kitchen sink faucet for restoration. Features a long spout that moves side to side. And old fashioned white glass/porcelain hot and cold lever knobs(note the"hot" one has cracks, including an internal crack area on the bottom side, and the cold has small hairlines(see photos of both) but still looks like they could be used. It measures approx. 7 inches from inside rim of each incoming water hole. This old fixture has not been tested in any way/ sold as it stands. The spout and handles do seem to move as they should. For its age, the chrome finish is pretty nice on the spout and main body, but does have some wear spots/ some pitting on the body, a small spot of missing finish on the bottom, areas around handles as shown, etc. See photos for details/ illustrative ... moreexamples. Many of the funny spots in the photos are just reflections, so be sure to compare from photo to photo. Has not been polished or cleaned so I suspect some of this would be taken care of that way, but leave this decision to the new owner. Sold as it stands/ as is. Some of the Nickel Plating is worn off in some areas. Light scratches and some oxidation from years of use. The white porcelain is in excellent condition without any cracks or chips. The threaded pipe stems are 1" dia. and are 3 9/16" center to center. The downspout is internally threaded and is 3/4" dia. The nipple with the external thread is included. And the threads are 1" The faucets themselves are probably nickel over brass and were made by the CENTRAL company(See Photo# 3. This set was acquired from a local New England antique home and is in good condition, with no splits or breaks to the faucets. There is one 1" hairline on the HOT handle toward the back, but neither handle is chipped at all. There is some pitting and finish wear, and they definitely would benefit from a good cleaning, but I'll leave that up to the new owner's discretion.
