Claw Foot Tub Chrome Faucet - Chicago Faucet Co.- Nice Heavy One - NR
This is a standard clawfoot or claw foot tub faucet but a really nice one. It is the highest quality as Chicago Faucets makes the best. I was lazy and did not clean the soap buildup off the piece before I took the pictures so it looks like the finish is not good. To the contrary- the finish appears to be in extremely good condition. It is chrome and really a nice piece. The hookups are a standard 3 1/2 on center and the beast weighs about 4 pounds. I think you will be pleased with this one. Even the nuts where there are usually big wrench marks only have some small scratches. No reserve.

We found a few old unused faucets in an estate. We were told the gentleman owned a plumbing supply store in the 1940's& 1950's& all that was left are the few we found(They are on seperate auctions) This particular faucet is in new condition with the original Chicago Faucet Company hang tag attached. I don't know what style it is called. The threaded bottoms measure 3 3/8" apart from center of each hole. Here is a nice old'Chicago Faucet Co. gooseneck faucet that was removed from a 1960's-era bar sink. The neck is fixed and doesn't swivel like a kitchen sink would. Both hot and cold valves open and close as they should. The plating is in good shape overall. With the majority of the pitting on the handles. The body and neck have some light scuffs from years of cleaning. There are a few small spots of plating loss around the base where it meets the mounting surface as well as some mineral deposits around the aerator. Please check all photos for condition.
